This 7.5 ABV makes this DIPA drink like a standard IPA. Very good if you are not looking for a boozy hop bomb.

Cloudy orange color, creamy head, strong lacing. Pleasant but somewhat weak floral and citrus nose. Taste is same, fairly gentle bitterness. A bit of caramel and straw malt.

On tap at Daily Pint. Copper orange with a slight haze, bright white head and nice lace. Wonderful citrus and pine aromas featuring sharp grapefruit and orange peel and a touch of bready malt. Flavors are similar, with the doughy bread providing a strong foundation for the crisp sharp hops bitterness. Plenty of resinous pine and grapefruit. Medium to full body, creamy smooth texture, moderate carbonation and a clean crisp bitter finish.

On tap at the Dirty Truth, Northampton MA, on 19 April 2010. Darkish amber colour. Pine, with some floral notes on the nose. Big strong orangey hops with strong marmalade character. Late bitterness, lingering into the aftertaste. A little residual sweetness. Very enjoyable and surprisingly drinkable. Overall score-wise, not a lot to choose between this and the Port Brewing Mongo tasted immediately before.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3947) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was very strong orange, moderate lemon, pine, pineapple and grapefruit. The flavor was sweet and tangy caramel, honey, strong orange and grapefruit and moderate lemon, pineapple and pine. The finish was very long and sweet with honey, orange and grapefruit lingering. Thick and full body. Wonderful!

Draught. Amber and hazy. Floral citrusy aroma. Light sweet malts. Sharp bittering hops. Overall this works out really well ending in a nicely balanced IPA.

Nice bitter hop presence. A good blend of caramel malt, pine and floral hop. A real stand up IPA with a full fluff body.
