Big Bear is a big, black, stout you can really sink your teeth into. The bold, roasty, caramel malt flavor is balanced by Centennial and Cascade hops.

Thick malty aroma, pours a thick dark brown with a thin foam head. Nice velvety feel on the tongue and a good initial imperial taste. Sweet up front with sugars. However, a way too bitter aftertaste. It really detracts from the beer. Tap.

Amazing looks. Very licorice, bay leaves. Soft, hot taste of roast, rye, even chili. Super body too for the abv, creamy and rich. Lasting bitterness. Lrab. (33cl bottle from Etre Gourmet)

355ml bottle - Thanks martjoobolut!
Very rubbery aroma, black grommits. Dark, brief head. Very nice savoury soy taste. Medium palate, carbonation a bit low. Finish roasty, and very soyey and savoury. Odd one, not bad, but not good either.

suurjuust (2854) - ESTONIA - JUN 11, 2016
Bottle shared by Mart. Brown beer, small tan head. Nose is roast, soy, ashy, licorice. Flavor is begins sweet, but the the roast and hops kick in. Roasty-bready notes, some resiny bitterness, pine, mild licorice, soy sauce. Lingering bready roast, surprisingly strong resiny-spicy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. Very savory stuff.
