pours Black color, clear, with unstable half a finger tan light brown head like a espresso coffee. Aroma: intense dark malt aroma, which takes on bittersweet chocolate, supported with roasted malts, which takes on espresso coffee, and hops, with notes of pine and some dark fruits, like prunes, dates. Flavor: Similar to aroma: rich dark and roasted malts flavors, with notes of bittersweet chocolate, cocoa powder, espresso coffee, with hint of licorice, cinnamon, supported with hop flavors, which takes on dark fruits, menitoned above. Body is full, creamy, velvety texture, with low carbonation. Alcohol is very well hidded. Big beer for so "low" abv.

Nice deep chocolate color with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, dried fruit, roasted malt, a little booze. Flavor is chocolate, licorice, dark caramel, subltle hop citrus. Light to medium mouth feel, a little less than expected, nice carbonation level. Slight metallic flavor when the beer was out of fridge - definitely gone once warmed up. Pretty nice.

Pours pitch black. Quite outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention. Outstanding nose of semi-sweet dark chocolate, roast, caramel, vanilla hints and a light berry like note. Light full body that is extremely smooth with a solid creaminess. World class carbonation with just the right carbonation / body balance. The middle provides a nice effervescent burst that trails into a finely bubbled prickly finish. The flavor profile is world class. Balance is near perfect for this stout that brings a nice pine middle bitterness that compliments the roast. It begins with a mild roast character that has just enough bite. Caramel provides a higher level of sweetness than most stouts and shines after the middle as the chocolate influence maximizes. You don’t taste the alcohol, but it makes its presence in the very dry lingering finish and with a bit of heat.
