Aroma: Roasted malts with hints of coffee, toffee and caramel. Appearance: Black with a thick, tan head. Taste: Light sweetness with a light sourness and medium bitterness to balance it out. Palate: Full body, rich creamy texture, average carbonation, long dry finish. Overall: A very solid beer. Not mind-blowing, but quite delicious and well put together. I’d stock these for friends.

Good and malty. Aroma of roasted malts with some sweetness. Great dark color with a thin dark tan head that left a nice lacing. Smooth and viscous palate with appropriate carbonation. Strong malty backbone with roasted and toasted character followed by hints of molasses and wood. Some light coffee flavors but the hop character was subtle and more of an afterthought. Worth a second trip.

Superb stout. Could be the standard bearer for the style. Coffee and chocolate notes perfectly in balance. Roastiness and sweetness perfectly in balance. Recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ The No Creepy Country Ticks Tasting, courtesy of someone who was there. Not really sure what to expect from an imperial stout weighing in only at 8.1%abv. Poured a blackish dark brown beer with a brownish hue around the rim of the glass. Small beige head. Aroma has loads of herbal touches, cinnamon and some roast are also detected. Flavor has again loads of cinnamon in there and very herbal touch, almost like a pumpkin beer or something. Really strange brew this is.. Not really impressed here.

Poured deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet dark fruit and roast malt, liquorice. Medium to full body, flavour is heavy sweet, medium bitter, much as the aroma.
