Bottled. Thanks jcalabre!! Very black with dark beige head. Roasty, salty licorice aroma. Dry and softly malty with notes of coffee. Very rich and powerful. Salty bitter finish. It seems you can't go very wrong when making a dry imperial stout, and this is just fabulous.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver Dark brown color with red reflex. Mild aroma of roasted malt, alcohol, liquorice. Medium body strength, with good malt and dark caramel flavor, a hint of chocolate; strong bitterness. It doesn’t seem very imperial, but it’s a bold Stout, quite good.
