Jet black with a small tan head. Aroma malty, sweet, pine and coffee. Starts bitter and sweet followed by malt and back to bitter. One of the best black ipa’s I have. If it has a flaw it’s a weak head but everything else is great.

Draught. Pours a near-black color with a moderate tan head on it. Nose was pure IPA to me, as I really only got some great floral elements coming off it. Taste was wear the roasting pleasantly showed up, though the hoppy bitter elements also came through. Smooth and pleasing drink.

Pours dark brown/black with a medium tan head...nice retention and lacing. aroma has nice citrus notes...floral...a bit of tea and slight roast cutting through. flavor is much more roasty but not overbearing...still lets citrusy and earthy hops shine. mouthfeel is medium and the finish is charred/roasty and dry...lingering burnt/bitterness. a nicely mabe black IPA.
