On draft at the brewpub in Healdsburg. This came in the glass a brown color with a foamy tan head and left nice lacing rings. Nose is of coffee and roasted malts, with chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium and the overall texture is light and a bit watery but nevertheless smooth. Flavor is dominate by the roasted malts and bitter chocolate but the floral and grassy hops show up in the dry finish. Overall a smooth and easy drinking porter.

Similar in taste profile to the big bear black ale. It is a thinner mouthfeel, somewhat oily. Rich and malty with a pleasant hoppy bitterness afterwards.

On tap @ OBriens. Black/brown hue with creamy tan head. Nose is moderate coffee and toasted malts, light dark chocolate. Sweet coffee malts and bitter chocolate dominate, grassy hops in he middle, light toffee, finishes slightly sour. Thin and watery texture, light carbonation. Smooth porter with mildly sweet malts, nice creamy texture, and very easy-drinking.

On nitro tap, pours almost black with a cascading, creamy head. Sweet malty nose with an interesting sour like influence. This flows right into the flavor, with that sweetness yet sour funk standing out. Nice smokey finish as well.
