Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

Let me start by saying I need more Bear Republic in my life. Their hop sensibilities seem to be tuned to my palate. Bottle, pours a lightly hazed golden orange with a nice head. Aroma is a lime green, lime green and tangerine. Flavor matches, with a hint of pine over the relatively neutral caramel malt underpinnings. Great balance while still being a showcase for the hops. Truly masterful. Love, love, love this. Wish like heck that I could get a growler.

On draft at Hay Merchant. Clear orange pour, fluffy white head. Sons is grapefruit, pine, apricot, lemon zest. Sweetness from a malt presence and alcohol. Super sticky motel costs the tongue. A joy to drink.

Draft at Strangeloves. Hazy orange pour that starts with a gigantic frothy white head. Taste is strongly reminiscent of the Racer Five but fuller and more alcoholic. Big orange pith flavors. Lots of drying oak barrel notes. Wonderful stuff but maybe a bit too one note.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a smallish off white head on there. Nose is quite hoppy with some nice floral and piney elements to it. Taste is quite frsh and just a little bit sweet, though there are hints of the hoppy bitterness in there. Pretty good.

Pours an orange-golden color with a short white cap. Soapy nose. Wet and astringent mouthfeel. Malty with some citrus expression. Pretty warm with the alcohol presence.

Bottle. Hazy gold/orange. Aroma is grapefruit and candied orange. The taste adds bitter pine with a malt middle. Medium carb and very rich. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a orange/copper hue with small off-white head with decent lacing. Aroma is very piney, caramel malt and some floral bouquet. Taste is very pine resin, some honey but malt backbone balances it out. Some dank on the taste and finish. But a little too malty for me... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours thick dark honey golden unclear with a big creamy white head. Aroma and flavor both have huge perfumey abrasive hops with piney resin notes. The citrus and grapefruit flavors are really nice, a bit of sweetness as well and definite malty base under there.
