COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

On draught at Roscoe’s. Deep golden color with a deceptively smooth grapefruit and pine flavor.

On tap at Beer Revolution. Aroma has moderate hop character. Tropical fruit balanced with citrus, grapefruit and pine resin. Light cracker malt character. Low fruit esters. Pour is a only slightly golden color with just a hint of amber. White head with very little head retention. Flavor is almost all hops but just a bit of light cracker an biscuit. Lots of grapefruit and pine resin with secondary citrus and tropical fruit notes. Assertive bitterness with a touch of alcohol flavor. Mouthfeel is dry and medium bodied with medium light carbonation. Low alcohol warmth. Only faint hop astringency. Overall this is a really nice west coast IPA. Finishes nice and dry with a balanced amount of fruit and resin hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured hazy, golden yellow/orange with a thick, fizzy, white head. Nice retention. Crazy amount of hoppiness here. Quite bitter two. Viscous mouthfeel and dry toward the finish. Pine and citrus notes coming from the hops. A classes west coast IIPA taste to it.

On tap at Pizzeria Paradiso in Old Town Alexandria. Nose has quite a bit of citrus and some mild tropical fruit. The flavor is slightly boozy, but overall quite nice. Hefty bitterness on a medium body. A touch of residual sweetness. I prefer Racer 5.

On tap at Hops and Pie. Orange-yellow color, soapy head. Strong aroma of hops, citrus, pine, touch of malt. Flavor was more citrus hops with a decent malt backbone. I’m not sure if this is an amped up Racer 5 but it was a pretty good DIPA. I’d definitely order this again. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-15-2012 22:06:25

Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear gold with some frothy head. Bright nose, fresh wet hops, pine, flowers. Really dank, resinous aroma. Flavor is malty, honey, pine, grapefruit, earthy, lemon. Full, dry, bitter finish. Very well hopped.

Tap at Meridian Pint. Clear, ligher orange. Medium white head. 360 massive lace. Dank nose with orange gummies, weed. Taste is sweet cantaloupe and vanilla. A bit sticky. Reminds me of many pizza port DIPAs. Just a bit too sticky, syrupy.
