COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

Poured from a bomber into tulip glass, cloudy golden - orange with a medium sized head. Nose is very complex, smoky malty citrus, blood orange, with a hint of pine. Taste leans toward the sweeter side, but there is a real dryness to the finish that grabs me. Overall very good.

Citrus, resinous, spicy aroma. A little soapy at first. Similar hop flavor (not soapy), with a light sweet, bready mouthfeel. Substantial but smooth bitterness.

On tap at Encinitas ale house... Hazy slightly transparent golden brown pour and topped with a creamy white head...slightly metallic upfront with sweet citrus honey middle... Semi-sweet herbal citra notes, sweeter through the middle and finishes off with an earthy bitterness. Medium bodied or just above that. Sweetness overbearing. Doesn’t seem all that fresh.

bottle shared by guillaume, thanks! pours hazy pale golden with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. dankness, sugar - doughy honeyed malts should you prefer, but also nice fruity and lightly spicy malts, booze, citrus, pepper. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily and a tad heavy, bold peppery-citrusy medium long finish. tad unbalanced.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass a cloudy amber yellow color with a thick beige head. Aroma of citrus & pine with a sweet malty overtone. Flavor of Amarillo hops is foremost. Thinking sweet pinecones. The balance with the malts brings sweetness to the table with a finish of bitterness that is almost perfect. Overall this is an incredible DIPA.

Location/Date:Bottle shared with Dave on November 1st, 2013.

Appearance: Pours an orange cloud.
Aroma: Pine, orange citrus.
Taste: Medium light bitter, some pine, orange, bitter but not overly aggressive.
Palate:Medium light body, lightly sticky, light lingering aftertate.

Summary: Thanks Dave for sharing this! Never had a chance to have this, it’s really nice...even accessible for a DIPA with the amount of citrus built in.
