3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz in Seattle. Hazy medium, woody orange. Bubbly foam. Fruity yeast. Soft alcohol hop. Big beer, dry alc. Juicy. A bit muddled, I’m confused. Alc sweetness. Eh, doesn’t add up.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Murky orange. Big, juicy, dank hops on the nose. Lots of mandarin fruit and sweet caramel malt in the flavor. This tastes a lot like something from 3Floyds to me, with just a slightly higher hop content. A bit on the flat side. Tasty!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lower rating b/c this is an old bottle, cant discern the freshnes date but March or July of 2013. Pours an medium bronzed orange and carfamel color. Head is light, thin, large, soapy, and transparent. Lacing is ok looking and sporadic. Aroma is boozy, almost like sniffing a shot of liquor, ideal for the abv here I guess, citrus undertones, orange, melon, red grape, pine, sap, and more orange. Taste is boozy, hops are juicy and bountiful, but the booze seems to overpower the aftertaste and the nice hop mixture, has to be the age of this brew, Pugnent hops do enter in the taste, dank resinous feel of pine, weed, grass, and murky old soil. Drinkability is a bit tough at times, due to the immense booze relation in the smell and taste, hot damn, tequila, and white rum are all over, not what i look for in a dipa. Guess I should have looked at the bottle. Still, this is a bit tolerable and with the hops and citrus in mind its not that bad. Sampled in a 23oz bulbous wheath glass.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Glass: 0.25L glass
From: Tiger! Tiger! in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 5, 2014
Consumed: Jan. 5, 2014
Poured a caramel, orange murky color with three fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Tons of foamy lacing scattered throughout the sides of the glass. Above average retention.
Smelled sharp grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, fresh, floral hops, citrus hops and faint tropical notes.
Taste wasn’t as quite as potent as the nose. Got lemon, citrus hops, sharp grapefruit, tropical hops and orange dental floss, all in a bitter form.
Light body. Creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Abrupt, clean and refreshing finish, hiding the strength of the alcohol.
Just a really good beer. Very smooth and refreshing. Can’t wait to try it again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle from Tipsy’s. Golden, orange and slightly hazy with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, bitter resinous hops, pine, floral, citrus and tropical fruits. Similar flavor, quite malty and sweet with bread, caramel and toffee. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Not bad, but too sweet for a DIPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tallahassee, Fl. - Proof Bottle Shop - 22 oz bomber. Hazy medium copper pour, sticky snow white head with plenty of lacing. Aroma is fragrant and resiny with some nice spruce accents, some floral notes, a touch of muskiness. Flavor is bold and full bodied with plenty of citrusy bitter goodness, a touch of caramel sweetness, some mango fruitiness. Rich, thick sticky mouthfeel. Solid Double IPA from one of my favorite brewers that I have had the pleasure of visiting out west.

Not sure how I’ve never had this before, but I can’t really recall having seen this often. Bottle. Poured a somewhat clear golden yellow. Nice and citrusy with the hops, though I was expecting a little more pine. Smooth mouthfeel with a nice finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Golden with a white head nice lacing on the glass - Good hop aromas with citrus, grapefruits - A good malt body that supports a very good hop flavour that is grapefruit and other citrus with some descrete pine - Long lingering hop finish that is somewhat dry - This was very good and tasty
