Pours amber with a white head. This is not a very good Belgian style beer. Watery mouthfeel. Not much flavor. I expected more from a Belgian ale.

Light orange pour with a tall white head. Nose is a touch soapy. Some floral hops, lemon peel, and biscuit malt. A little bit of grass, hints of pepper, and some dry, cracker malt note. The flavor is lightly sweet with some biscuit, bread, and cracker malt. A little bit grassy, soapy, and dry. There’s a light floral and citrus character, hints of lemon peel on the finish.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Cracker and caramel aromas. Soft with funky bread and herbs front to back.

Sampler at the brewpub. Blonde color. Biscuity aroma and flavor. No real Belgian influence noted. Decent blonde ale, but nothing that really speaks to me.

Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Fruity nose, yeasty, but mildly so; bananester and pineapple(ester). Again those fruity-sweet esters, but with a dry grainy background. Even a touch from USA-hops. Light to medium bodied, quite slick, mineral water quality. Nice. Seems to miss a tad more body, but easily drinkable for sure.

Really disappointed in this one...reallllly missed the mark. Nutty malt upfront, bad aftertaste, and some of the mellowest Belgian yeast ever. I know singles are hard to come by (as when someone wants a Belgian, they want to taste it) but this just gets lost in the wash. Would love to try a double Cher Ami or a barrel aged Cher Ami. haha
