Tap at Blind Tiger. Poured a light copper. Nose is malty and a bit tart. Starts slightly tart then the Belgian yeast and flavors take over. A bit of warmth. Some light fruit notes too. Ends a bit acidic and a touch sweet. But pretty good.

Sampled at FoBAB 09. Awesome name. Also had no idea this had split peas in it. Hazy murky amber pour, some head. Aroma is caramelly and a bit wheaty. Kind of strange. Flavor is pretty strong and caramelly also. Really not sure what to make of this one, but it was aight.

Draft @ Jackie O’s (notes). Pours a hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor are heavy on sweet caramel malts, some toasted bread, a grassy component comes in, oak, vinous notes and a touch of vanilla. If it stopped there, this would be higher. Unfortunately, I noted the pea aroma and flavor like some of the others who have rated this. It wasn’t overpowering, just enough to distract. Alcohol was fairly well hidden.
