On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours a dark brown color without much head. Great cognac aroma and flavor.

Dark brown pour with a small off-white head. Nose of cognac, vanilla, oak, chocolate, and caramel. Dark fruits, light roast, cocoa powder, coffee, and alcohol. The flavor is a little bit boozy. Big cognac, vanilla, caramel, and alcohol. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits, and some coffee. Kind of hot on the finish.

On tap. Dark brown with a fizzy off white head. Really good cognac, vanilla, chocolate and caramel aroma and taste with a robust roasted grain finish and a medium bodied oily palate.

Tap @ The Noble Fir... Poured pitch black with a moderate light khaki head. Nose had lots of oak, spirits, dark fruits, and roast. This tasted amazing. All the complexities here melded together, were harmonious and delicate, and nothing was unbalanced. Roast, dark chocolate, sweet malt, toasted sugars and grains, wood, vinous grapes and raisins, caramel and toffee nut. Lots of booze with a bittersweet molasses thing going on.

On tap at the Olde Depot. Pours with a black hued body and a small tan ring. Aromas are big and fudgy with barrel, cognac, raisins, prunes, dark fruits, ashy, pipe tobacco. Flavors are roasty, dry, raisins, barrel, licorice, complex oak and barrel notes, lots of tannin and dates. Big, fuller bodied, medium carbonation. Grapey tannins surround the finish.

On tap at Kraftwork, pours black syrup with tiny head and lacing if any. Aromas of smooth barrel, creamy and roasty malts, dark chocolate, and booze. Taste is bitter chocolate, cognac, barrel, roasted malt, coffee and vanilla marshmallow. Fuller body, warming in chest. Excellent.

Draft at Bear Republic. Super dark, viscous, creamy light tan head sticky lacing. Balanced cognac notes melded with roasty coffee, bittersweet chocolate, brow sugar, sweet prune, bit of vanilla. Quite cognac forward, very warming, touch boozey, raisins, bitter roasted malt, warming cognac in the finish with a long dark malt bittering. Solid, would think a little age with mellow out the barrel and bring a bit more harmony.
