swoopjones (1048), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 17, 2008 On tap @ Coles in Buffalo NY. ours a somewhat murky amber brown. Aroma is sweet maltines, iced tea, floral & citrus hops. taste starts off heavily Belgian yeastiness influenced. Follws up with some herbal floral tea flavor withmalty sweetness &some hop bitterness in the finish. Complex interesting take on two beers that I really enjoy bu11zeye (3572), Frisco, Texas, USA Jul 6, 2008 (Draught) Pours a cloudy amber body with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of sourness, herbal, citrus, pineapple, and floral. Flavor of hops (citrus, floral), roasted malt, caramel, and Belgian yeast with a bitter finish. Taverner (417), San Ramon, California, USA Jun 29, 2008 Very complex and interesting. Sweet, bready and tea-ish. Notes of banana and a small bit of caramel. Flavor is like a red, with lots of floral and bitter hops. after it warns the florals come out. Tweety (160), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jun 25, 2008 ACBF 2008. I really liked this one! Had I not been told, I never woulda known that the wort base for this one was basically that of a pale ale. The belgian strain mostly takes over so you get many of the estery characters you expect from a belgian, but there’s just a hint of that hoppiness in the finish making it very unique. ukoolaid (565), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Jun 12, 2008 On tap @ Moan & Dove. Pours a dark golden amber with medium/small white head. Aroma is yeasty and grassy hops. Very full taste with Belgian sugars, spices and yeast. Good.
