COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This copper colored American IPA took a wild left turn when we fermented it with our favorite Trappist ale yeast. Charged with hops, followed closely by a clove and pepper Belgian yeast character.

Aroma: tropical, overripe fruits, some caramel. Appearance: slightly hazy brown, small head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets continue, but bitters come up in the background, again, resin and pine. Overall: very nice IPA, excellent aroma. Pint at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station, San Diego.

Tap at cottonwood Houston. Dark copper pour, light tan head. Aroma is floral, Belgian yeast, hints of pepper. Earthy hops, hints of pine. Taste is nicely hoppy, integrated well with the Belgian yeast. Moderate bitterness, clean. Slight pine and very floral hops. Palate is smooth body, low carbonation. Overall a great cross between IPA and Belgian style.

Pours hazy mahogany into a tulip. Clove, pepper and pit fruit aromas. Sweet yeast and pit fruit upfront turning to mild resin in the medium length finish.

Superb, well-spoken IPA, smooth but flavorful. Not sure I’m getting the Belgian yeast promised in the product description, but still quite good. It adds something but hard to tell what.

Draft, clear copper in color. Huge Belgian yeast that shows a lot of fruit character. The flavor is balanced between yeast and mild citrus.bitterness. the bitterness is held at bay by the yeast. Very fruity bit I really like the Belgain yeast presance. Pretty interesting and tasty brew not sure I would want more than 6 oz of it.

lamas (1362) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Draft at Frisco Taphouse & Brewery, Columbia, MD. Showed up at the table a dark golden brown with a smallish khaki head. The aroma was packed with spruce. Citrus rinds, toffee, wet cardboard, and a grainy maltiness were evident as well. Went down medium-bodied and slightly sticky. Caramel and dark grains started things off taste-wise. The resiny finish featured lots of bitter grapefruits and citrus rinds. There was an odd yeasty quality present throughout. Nothing special.

From a keg, I suspected was old. Keg was dated 8/27 or there abouts but the barkeep insisted that this was still plenty fresh. taste is of old paper, cardboard and stale hops.. no real belgian finish either, just attenuated paper goods.. almost like licking an envelope.

Somewhat hazy copper with a thick foamy sticky white head. Nose is piney and floral/grassy with sticky resin tones, mixed with an almost herbal Belgian yeastiness and a touch of orange rind. The flavor is sharp and acidic yet also sticky sweet right off the bat. Lots of grapefruit zest and floral resin with lots of caramel and a dry dusty yet fruity-eccentric Belgian yeast finish. More IPA than Belgian, though.
