COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional white beer is brewed using raw and malted wheat and a Belgian yeast strain. The suspended proteins in the beer cause a hazy or cloudy look to the beer. This thirst quencher is a summer favorite. Cheers!

On tap at Rattle’N’Hum - Manhattan, NY. Soft wheat ale aroma. Flavors are very very light. I dig super-light session styles, but this tastes like a straight up Cinncinnati-style cream ale. Fresh and with a quick and wonderful twang of hops in the finish. I went back for more of this, because the hoppiness really builds in a great way past the finish. I love that this doesn’t have the unfortunate spice marring that most witbiers have.

(Old BA rate - tap) Slightly hazy light straw yellow. Nice pure white head. Lemony and yeasty aromas, very delicate, but still nice. True to style, citruisy and yeasty flavors, but was nearing on a German-style wheat at some points during the sample. Lightly carbonated, and would expected a bit more body. This was an pretty drinkable brew, but it was lacking a bit in complexity. Overall, I wanted a bit more of a ’snap’ in flavor and complexity. However, this was still a solid brew

Tap at the Blind Tiger. True, it is Wit-like. Reminds me of my early drinking experiences, Sam Adams and Saranac and such, maybe a Hoegaarden here and there. Just kind of simple, not very "craft" feeling at all. Light body. Some mint and marshmallow notes in the aroma.

The menu had this listed as just Wit Beer. I assume this is the correct beer to rate... Thanks to my wife, I got to try this one on our trip to BR. Not the classic wheat, it was smooth and subtly spiced without the over the top sweetness or cloying yeast presence. Unfiltered and served in a tall pilsner glass with a lemon wedge. Some citrus, but not much.
