2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 PhillyCraft (1984) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2012
On tap, pours a lightly hazed golden colot, medium white head, good lace. Aromas of light bread, faint hops, overall a very weak aroma. Taste is ultra bitter, caramel sweetness dominates. Way too sugary and malty. Big miss considering this was apparently rare and only at 5 bars in the county.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20 patrickfannon (1172) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2012
On tap at Monk's with Vinny. Well, let's just say I expected much more. By that I mean, I expected it to be drinkable. This beer pours nice and clear golden with a fuzzy white head. Nice lacing as well. It takes a fucking nose dive from there; the nose is dismal, the taste is is absolute malty hell, and I could not take more than two sips. So malty, stale and bland. Bitterly disappointed.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 eaglefan538 (2779) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 23, 2012
On draft at Monk’s Cafe. Pour was amber colored, slight faint haze, nice self-sustaining head. Aroma of strong pine, some citrus. Flavor followed over top of a mild biscuit malt. Hops not as strong as the description promised, but a darned nice brew. I think I’m cool with the Double Jack as it is over this. Mouthfeel full, slight stickiness.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ACHops (283) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 18, 2012
On tap @ Bottleworks. Pours dark orange with thin head. Aroma is citrus and grapefruit hops. Taste is thick caramel malt, sticky boozy sweetness, with piney hops that linger through the finish to leave a sweet bitter aftertaste. A big beer, no doubt. Though it’s been a whole, this is similar to Racer X. Only shortcoming I could identify is maybe a little more hops up front? The malt profile on this is spot on.

On draft at Monks Cafe. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a Medium sized off white head. Aroma of grapfruit, light pine and hops. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Leave a perfumy aftertaste.

Draft at brouwers. Pours clear darker gold with a bit of a orangish tint and sticky white head. Quite aggressive on the nose. Sharp peppery cracker malt with bright yet bitter hops that mostly hints of lemony pinesol. Light crisp body, lively/peppery carb. Bitter pinesol hops up front, astringent, peppery dry malt and finishes really quite dry and bitter. No flaws, but touch too out of balance for me.
