Brewed with Pilsner and Vienna malts and a light touch of noble hops, this light, pale lager is malty yet crisp and refreshing.

Golden pour. Biscuity malt profile with lemon peel and floral nots from the hops. Good, but there are better pilseners out there.

On draft. It pours a clear pale yellow with a tall frothy white head. The aroma is strong with malty grains, lemongrass and noble hop earthy spice. The flavor is a bit light with subdued noble hop character and more intense maltiness. Crisp and clean. Enjoyable.

marcus (5104) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 3, 2013
On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours clear blonde with a nice white head and a light floral aroma. There is a clean pilsner malt flavor that is pretty hefty for a lager, and a dry slightly bitter finish.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Nice lightly fruity aroma. Near med body. Pleasant fruity/bready taste with a nice hoppy/bitter finish.

I really enjoyed this sample. Pours a light yellow. Very crisp and clean. Hop notes jump out but then fade into the background leaving a nice little cereal taste. Yet another good pils with a bad rap on RateBeer

Clear golden pour with a white head. Sweet biscuit and bready malt, lemon peel, and floral hops. A little bit of soap, grass, and apple. Perhaps a hint of yeast. The flavor is nicely sweet. Lots of bread and biscuit notes. Some apple esters, yeast, floral hops, lots of lemon peel, and some grass. A hint of soap on the finish.

Pour on tap, clear orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, slight spicy notes going into some caramel notes from the Vienna, touch of earth, slight grass in there as well. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, biscuit, some lemon, hints of grass and earthy hops, slight spice in there, finishing slightly bitter, hints of sweetness come through as well. Not bad.

Sampler at the brewpub. It’s a pretty typical pilsner in flavor and aroma. The Vienna malt does seem to add a touch more body.

Draft. Clear yellow-gold color with a one finger white head. Pilsner aroma, rather grassy. Pilsner malt flavor with medium grassy hop bitterness. Medium-light body with a good carbonation level. Impressive pils overall.
