ElGaucho (1720), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Dec 2, 2007 Draught at brewpub. Diacetyl notes in the nose and caramel malt. Crystal clear body with slow visible carbonation and a white head. Nice backbone and subtle hop finish. Fairly on the style. Underrated. aspidites (1268), manteca, California, USA Nov 26, 2007 Bready and roasted notes with a touch of caramel and nuts. Mild sweetness with good earthy undertones and noble hop notes. Nice and clean session beer. Wulfstan (433), California, USA Oct 9, 2007 Updated: Oct 29, 2007This is a moderately deep amber with a small, weak head and thin, but long-lasting, pretty good lacing. The aroma is mild, with a somewhat full toasty, nutty element. The taste is predominantly somewhat sweet toasty nuts and malt with an offsetting mild bitterness giving a fairly crisp finish. As with many ESB-types, this is fairly tasty and flavourful, with decent body, and very smooth and drinkable, but not overly exciting. I happily drink it, but it’s not among my favourites. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: English Ale
