Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately malty (grapefruit, apricot, flowers), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent. Some raw doughy yeast hurts the aroma a bit, but the hops themselves are pleasant, not the resin bomb I thought this would be based on the brewer. Good quaffing flavor balance. A little astringent and watery, but overall a decent brew.

Bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Pours a clear gold with a nice white soapy head that lingers for a bit. Awesome nose with lots of citrus: lemon, orange and grapefruit with some light pine and cracker. Very active carbonation with a crisp and dry, bitter finish. Awesome.

Gentle fruity nose with a tropical edge. Mostly citrus, overriped orange, grapefruit peel, fairly pulpy mouthfeel, salt, dry bitter finish. Ok but a bit heavy and not really outstanding, always have high expectations for Bear stuff.

Bottle. Small piney hop nose, bready, thin malt. Dark amber color, thin off-white head. Solid caramel initial, peach, mild tropical fruit, some citrus. Medium body, with small hop bites from mid onwards. Fairly tasty. Not the most exciting beer put out by Bear Republic, but very drinkable.

Santa Clara, Ca - Santa Clara Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Murky, dark orange pour, fluffy snow white head that leaves a nice film of lacing. Floral hints in the aroma, hint of saffron spice, just a touch of spruce. Flavor has a solid bitter citrus backbone, touch of sweet cake mix, some yeasty notes. Decently thick mouthfeel. Not bad at all.
