Poured into a shaker glass. Light to medium amber with a foamy cream colored head. Great aroma with some bread and caramel as well as a lot of citrusy hops. Flavor doesn’t have a lot of detectable malt character but has a nice dose of hops with equal parts earthy and citrusy notes. Medium bodied with nice carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall really nice for a pale ale and better than a lot of average IPA’s I’ve had.

Tap @ The Ginger Man. Orange brown, reasonable head. Grain malt aroma. Sweet chewing gum hop flavour. Perfume aftertaste. Not hoppy enough for a pale ale.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately malty (grapefruit, apricot, flowers), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent. Some raw doughy yeast hurts the aroma a bit, but the hops themselves are pleasant, not the resin bomb I thought this would be based on the brewer. Good quaffing flavor balance. A little astringent and watery, but overall a decent brew.

Bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Pours a clear gold with a nice white soapy head that lingers for a bit. Awesome nose with lots of citrus: lemon, orange and grapefruit with some light pine and cracker. Very active carbonation with a crisp and dry, bitter finish. Awesome.

Gentle fruity nose with a tropical edge. Mostly citrus, overriped orange, grapefruit peel, fairly pulpy mouthfeel, salt, dry bitter finish. Ok but a bit heavy and not really outstanding, always have high expectations for Bear stuff.

Light amber color. Frothy white head. Lively citrus notes with confused mandarins. Light body, very dry, fairly simple pale ale but enjoyable.
