Nov 26, 2007 Bubblegum, citrus and pine nose. Very metallic and acidic palate with huge hop flavors. Sucking on a copper penny finish.

Nov 16, 2005 Draft @ EJ Phair Brewpub. Pale copper color with a white head. The aroma blew me away! Tons of citrus notes, mostly grapefruit and lemon along with pine. Somewhat respectable malt backbone but the hop flavor is overwelming and dominated by an overpowering metalic flavor. I’ve noticed this in many Harvest Ales this year. I don’t know if it’s me or this year’s hops but something seems a little off.

Dec 10, 2004 On draft, Bistro Hayward. The odor is hops, the aftertaste is hops, like chewing on a fresh hop bud. The color is amber, minute head in a pint. the malt shows in the initial sip, but the hops kill the malt flavor quickly,.

Dec 3, 2004 Draft. Orange-dark amber beer with a thin white head. Big hop aroma. Huge hop flavor and some caramel backing - grapefruit and just a little sweeter fruit (apricot?). Medium bodied. Just a little mustiness. Rich hop lingers with a little earthy grassiness. Nice.
