Bottle from Cornelius Beer, Edinburgh. A hazy copper coloured beer with burnt toffee, orange marmalade and warming zesty notes followed by a slight woody and bitter, creamy, zesty citrus finish. Superb!

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a cold Friday night. Appearance is a very vibrant cloudy ruby gold with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of huge resin and citrus hop notes, rye malt, sweet, caramel, smell is potent. Taste is pretty great, goes down with equal parts rye and sweet with a pronounced piney hop finish. It hits all at once too, packs a punch up front. Really good stuff, not a big fan of rye ales but this one is great.

Poured out of a bomber bottle ~3 months from bottling date. Poured a rich amber color with a foamy finger of khaki head. Smell is floral, sweet, and rye. Taste right off the bat is rye, then becomes piney and citrusy. Slightly dry finish, but very nicely balanced. Overall, I like the beer. It’s a very good representation for a Rye IPA. I liked it better as it warmed up.

Bottle - dark amber with a thick off-white head. Aroma of hops and caramel malts. Good balance of hops and malts, with a big long bitter finish. Full bodied, softly carbonated, well hid alcohol. Very nice.
