Color is copper, brown. Has a wide head that sticks throughout and good amount of lacing. Earthy organic and floral aroma, resiny, floral hop taste and slightly caramel malt finish. Palate has a medium body and resiny texture with a lingering bitter finish. Overall, a smooth great tasting rye beer. I wish it had a little bit more of a spicy rye bite and a little less aftertaste, but it’s still really drinkable.

Awesome reddish brown coppery color. Great malty aroma, and a good hop presence in the aroma too. The flavor has a good malt backbone, with the hop flavor of citrus and pine pretty well blended. Awesome beer, definitely on my radar now to have again.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Good rye beers are hard to come by in the UK so hoorah to Cotteridge Wines for stocking this beautey of a beer. Pours a dark rust colour with a tight, foamy off white head. The aroma is all cereal and spicy hops. The initial taste is more of the same with some nice floral notes, underpinned with nice light caramel maltiness then finishes with an almost candyfloss like sweetness. overall a complex beer that may not be to everyones taste but judging by the reviews here thats not the case. one of my faves right now.

Crazy delicious rye style. I enjoyed this in a 12oz snifter glass on draft. Pours a cloudy brown, muddy and clear. Has a unique rye presence that is tasty without being intimidating. Nice choice!

12 oz bottle served in a snifter. Pour is a dark brownish red hue. cloudy (some sediment in the bottle added with the pour), with a rather creamy and irregular tan head. The head had limited retention. Generous sticky lacing is left behind. The rye is but not pronounced in the aroma. In contrast, there’s a good bit of citrus in the nose but not much in the flavor. The rye seems light in the taste at first but ramps up and leaves plenty of spicy impact at mid-taste, and in the fine and lasting aftertaste that features both hops and rye. There’s plenty of hops in the flavor too, such that this is more of a rye IPA than a rye PA. The taste is earthy and spicy, with only a faint citrus component. A nice dark fruit note in both nose and mouth. M: excellent, moderate carbonation; slight dry finish; medium body. O: Rye IPA, as advertised. Well crafted if a bit too earthy. Improved a little with further warming.

Rye is the real deal to give the old imperial IPA treatment here. Winning medals in Cali must be worth something.

On tap. Pours a ruby red/brown with light head. Aromas of toasted malts, toffee, pine, and fruit. Flavours of malts, pine, grapefruit, and raspberries. Nice bitter finish.
