Pours red-orange amber and cloudy with a huge yellow-white head that is soapy foamy and yeasty. Like something from a Martian landscape. Fat-legged lacing abounds. Aroma is rye bread and citrus. Taste is hoppy pine, floral and orange citrus. Some bitterness but none too much. Awesome. Probably the best rye beer I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this from a 12oz bottle at flannerys in St. Louis. Dark red pour. Huge Carmel malty and floral taste. Rye crazy. Very good. A sipper

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2013 An orange-brown coloured beer with a weak white head. A light grassy hop aroma, slightly vegetal. Dry mouthfeel. A big, hop flavour. Grassy and vegetal, but hardly any suggestions of rye. There is a slightly sweeter, honeyed caramel flavour in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice light rye taste, not over powering. Nice finish, tastes a bit higher in alcohol than it is. Good at first rate, but diminishes after a few few.

Aroma: Pungent, heavily malty and spicy, cake-like, aroma of spruce, soil and herbs. Unusual. Mouthfeel: A big, smooth beer. Taste: Dry, earthy flavour. Phenolic. A good amount of bitterness, too. Dark cake, nuts, grapefruit are among the things it reminds me of. Rich stuff. Finish: Bitter, herbal, semi-sweet and piny. Some alcohol warmness. Nice one. Overall: Different, rich, hoppy. Solid. Excellent, but not totally my kind of stuff.

Aroma of malty caramel and floral hops, very pleasant. Pours amber tan head. Medium sweet taste. Medium body, nice balancing bitter hop finish. Very enjoyable.
