Serving: from bottle--purchased at Total Wine & More. Aroma: moderately malty and lightly hoppy. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with mostly diminishing longevity and fair lacing. Hazy, red body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor with heavily bitter finish and long duration. Palate: medium bodied with dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good, not harshly hoppy, but a bit too hoppy for my taste.

Poured from a bottle. Deep, reddish brown. Cream colored head. Lots of lacing. Rye shows up in the aroma but the nose fades quickly. A little spiciness in the taste which doesn't quite cover up the sweetness which lasts through the aftertaste. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer pours a beautiful red Amber with a nice foamy cream head. Aroma is almost perfume like with a lot of rose, some citrus notes and a lingering hoppy background. Taste starts out with the hoppiness and ends with a strawberry and orange flavor that balances the initial bitterness. Really delicious, complex, and interesting beer. Had from bottle.

Tap. Clear dark red brown pour with a big head. Rye, pine, grape. Medium to full body. Bitterness and rye sweetness balance out well. Nice

Solid performer. Nice long lived head, cloudy appearance, blasting hop aroma - piney to the point of sappy (tree sap). But the taste is a bit more controlled. Enough malt to taste through the pinecones. Perfection on bitterness.

Drought. Deep red color with small beige head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, mocha-like flavor with sharp alcohol taste, long finish. Quite strong and interesting.
