4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass. Appearance is dark copper with a thin tan head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is spicy rye malt and bitter hops. Taste is kind of strange. It’s like a blend of rich caramel malt and spicy rye malt on top of various hops. There is a subtle earthy taste as well. The flavors all hit at once rather than blending into each other; if they’d done that, I probably would have given it a higher rating. But it’s still pretty good.

Pours amber-red with a medium off white head. Aroma is sweet malts & faint rye. Taste is a beautiful combination of hops and rye up front and in the mid. The bitterness from the hops takes over in the long finish. This one just simply tastes good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice brown with tan head. Aroma of spice and dough. Flavor matches with more rye in the flavor than in the aroma.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Total Wine, Summerlin. Clear amber pour, thin off-white head. Aroma of fruity hops, caramel malts, rye, quite floral, slightly sweaty and some pine. Flavor is quite bitter, floral and well balanced with a very full body. Very nice brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from 45d bottle into Dogfish IPA glass. Translucent mahogany amber color with a foamy off-white head that hung around.
Spicy malt aromas blend with citrusy and piney hops; I get a bit of apple note mixing with the sweet caramel resin.
Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation goes down easy and smooth. The bitterness lingers but in a pleasant way.
Drank this one day after Green Flash's Road Warrior. Both are pretty stellar.

Fruity, flowery aroma. Pours a reddish brown with off-white head. Medium body with plenty of hops and malt character. Noticeable spicy contribution by the rye. Overall, a very enjoyable brew.
