Bottle from Binnys, Chicago. Chestnut/ruby red in colour with an off-white head. Sappy, pine resin aroma with some caramel and grapefruit. Flavour was sweet with some chewy malts before a big citrus hop finish which was very dry and left a prickly sensation in the mouth. Very good.

[ US West Coast Trip 2013] ljuvlig aroma. Bra balanserat tryck i denna Hot Roden. Humlig, fruktig. Perfekt kolsyrad, rinner genom halsen som en barnrumpa ;)

Pours dark amber with off white finger of head. Smells of malts and hops. Tastes of caramel, malts, hops, and mild bitter. Short bitter lasting on the tongue.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy ruby amber colour with a slightly off white head. Not much sign of life. Aroma is honey, malt, sweet syrup, some funky veg and earthiness. Medium bodied and foamy. An earthy vegetable flavour initially, then bitterness and citrus fruit, with maltiness, honey and dark sugars in there too. Tasty.

Cloudy copper with a short, yellow-tan head. Aroma is rye, pine, sweet fruit. Taste is sweet, spicy....fruit and rye with a heavy caramel feel and a strong piney bitter.

Pours a light ruby red with tons of hop residue. Slight piney aroma with also some malt aroma mixed in. light tan colored head that quickly dissipates. Hi amount of malt flavoring with some toffee and caramel flavors. Seems like I get a bit of alcohol burn even though it's only an 8% beer. Not bad but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Currently drinking whilst typing. This is a great beer! The aroma first off is of a classic spicy, peppery rye which is only propelled by the pine like hop character, lots of caramel and toffee too. The beer looks great too! With a rich deep amber colour and a head the colour of worn ivory that leaves good lacing. It has an incredibly well balanced flavour profile of rich caramel like malts with the all important spicy rye flavour which is brilliantly coupled with the smooth resin and pine hop note. Perfect bitterness in a nice drawn out hoppy finish. The beer itself is smooth as hell with a full body, light carbonation and thick texture. ’Tis a very good beer indeed, I highly recommend it!

Bottle pour into goblet. Pours a brown color with amber tones and an airy, bubbly white head that dissipates. Spotty lacing. Aroma is of strong hops and some malt. The flavor is very well balanced. The hops are notable up front but the finish is extremely smooth with almost no bite. Surprisingly good.

Smells hoppy! Dark, kinda thick color. White head which vanished quickly. Smooooooth taste. Very surprised at how balanced it is. It has an almost cola like feel at first, of course hoppy and vanilla like. Wood like after taste. Whoever created this recipe is very good. This is an awesome beer.

Bottle. This beer is phenomenal! Absolutely amazing! Pretty much a hop bamb! Ruby red body, lovely strong hop aroma, sharp hop taste up front, smooth and sweet on the tongue with a nice dry malt finish... tasting notes are really hard to convey how awesome this beer is; basically this is full on hop with a lovely sweet taste weaving through it, absolutely lovely!!

355ml bottle. Mahogany color, thick, lasting white head. Rye, losds of it in aroma, also some sticky boozyness. Flavor has rye, hops, caramel. Bitter warming finish. Not In best shape anymore I am afraid, most of the hops are gone. Almost full bodied.
