Deep amber color - clear with a foamy, lingering head. Aroma of pine, citrus and a hint of bready yeast. Fairly bitter flavor, but with sort of an oily mouthfeel. Doesn’t pack the punch of some other Imperial IPA’s, but is a decent beer in itw own right. Didn’t really detect the rye malt.

murky light brown with orange streaks and a fluffly light tan head. An aroma hinting at strong hops flavoring. Bits of vanilla, brown sugar and caramel. Hop burst on first taste that quickly subsides to a more subtle combination of light citrus, oak, malts and some berry spices before ending up back with hops. Palate leaves a taste of watered down pine in the mouth

Bottle - Clear dark reddish pour with a foam head. Malty sweet in the nose with a nice whisky and rye subtleness. Smooth on the pallet with spice-hop notes and a sweet bitterness that mixes well with the rye texture. Need to sample again soon.

Woowee! What a fantastic tastey brew. As I was drinking this, it felt like there was some sort of fiesta happening in my mouth. I was hosting one hell of a party on my tongue thats for sure. Dark clear copper colour with an enormous sized beige head.Aroma is hoppy- very hoppy in fact. Floral all the way through, mouthfeel is full, bitter and very pleasent. I loved it, lots of citrus fruit, piney grapefruit, sticky hoppy monster party.

1 pint, 6 fl. oz. bottle. Surprising aroma of berry fruit along with the more expected floral type hop. This is a truly beautiful looking beer, huge soft cream thick head, stays pretty well, nice lacing, burgundy red color, opaque but not thick looking. The more of this I drink, the more I’m into it. Not exactly a standard tasting double ipa, definitely some rich spiced- berry fruit-like rye malt flavor from start to finish, dry grassy hop taste is also expectantly strong, but doesn’t take over the palate until the lingering aftertaste which i enjoyed alot. Smooth, medium bodied, and I’m glad it wasn’t any higher in abv. This was a very unique beer, happy to have tried, but the overall malt/hop balance was slightly off or maybe just didn’t go quite perfectly together. Definitely want to try other rye ales in the future.

Poured from tap at Marin Brew Breast Fest a hazy brown with medium sized white head. Aromas of floral hops, pine and a caramel toast. Flavor has a caramel sweetness that hits right away then floral hops with light citrus and very little bitter. Palate is sticky chewy with light bitter but still easy to drink. Nice, I’ll be trying more in the future.
