Ohh baby! Looks darker but smells floral! Great start! Flavor is very IPA, lighter than a normal double and has a sweet balance from the rye. Good balance on the palate which makes it go down smooth! Overall worth it’s high regard for sure!

12 oz bottle shared by ebone1988. The pour is a dark brown color with a thinner white head that falls to a thick collar. The aroma is interesting. There is a lot of citrus to it while maintaining a light spiciness. The hops aren’t bright, but rather relaxed and offering light influences. The rye adds a hint of spice, but doesn’t do a whole lot. The flavor is way bigger on the rye. Lots of spicy grain and a resounding bitterness. It’s really interesting. The hops just offer a heavy bitter and the rye dominates. It’s almost one dimensional. There is a maltiness as well that I’m not digging. The mouth feel is lighter and decently carbed with a lingeringly spicy rye finish. It’s dry as fuck. It’s interesting.

Bottle shared with koleminer20. For the book. Aroma is rye, earthy hops, malt, rye heavy. Appearance is red, copper, off white/light tan head, hazy. Taste is rye, grainy, earthy hops, dirt. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, dirt grainy aftertaste. Overall, this one is pretty good.

Bottle, pours amber with an off white head. Lots of rye in the nose (like!), with a weedy and grassy hops. Taste has a lot of spicy rye, caramel. Medium sweet with a good complementing bitterness, but I’m missing hops really. I suppose it’s an old bottle, but as so often on US bottles there’s no trace of a bottling or best before date anywhere. I still like the rye though...

Bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a finger of head that lingers. Big punchy citrus flavors with orange and grapefruit dominating and little bit of lemon and caramel in the background. Well-balanced on the palate with the caramel notes standing up to the hop flavors. Some honey and marmalade more grapefruit and touch of lemon. Finishes fairly well-balanced with good bitterness, maltiness and a touch of peppery rye notes at the end. Very nice.

Pours a murky brown with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is lots of spicy rye, pine and floral hops, and some malts. Flavor is spicy rye and caramel. Has a high bitterness and a smooth body. Very enjoyable. As the last rated wrote, I am a bit surprised to see this categorized as an IPA, but regardless if is an excellent beer.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver; 414m
Dark amber color, cloudy. Solid beer, the moderate residual sweetness ties together the malts and the spicy rye, and the resiny hops. The final is a bit earthy, expected with the rye.
I wouldn’t categorize this as IIPA, it’s a bit sturdy.

Flarra Ölbaren Växjö. Mycket Rye Malt doft. Smakar krämigt Maltigt och perfekt jävla beska. Mycket lättdrucken balanserad med lite klassisk Rye kärvhet. Fin Maltig Dipa som påminner om Lervig Rye.
