3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The beer pours a clear orange-amber color with a nice finger or so of white head and a bit of sticky lacing.
S: Sweet citrus and fruit notes with a good amount of grapefruit along with some orange and pineapple. A mild pine aroma along with some floral hop notes and sweet malt (a bit of caramel).
T: As with the aroma, there is a pronounced sweet fruit character. Hints of grapefruit along with sweeter citrus like orange and tangerine. A mild booziness, unfortunately. A touch of peach, along with a bit of floral and herbal hops. Sweet malt/caramel is also there.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: There were nice aromas and flavors to this, but overall it was too sweet.

growler from Village Beer Merchant. Cloudy golden with generous 3/8 inch of white head, and thick lace lines. Mild hop but bold malt aromas. Big mouthfeel, extremely dangerous drinkable. Sugary sweet malt partners with citrus piney hops and makes the approaching Autumn...doable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe for Hopfest, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits (pineapple and mango) and truckloads of resinous hops. Flavour is quite balanced with tropical fruits, resinous hops and a big caramel malt backing. Well-balanced and flavourful.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Brouwer’s Hopfest 2011. Dark transparent orange pour. Small head. Very juicy hop nose, with lots of caramel to back it up. Remains hop-forward, but has a great balance. Thick, but very drinkable. Really tasty, and a pleasant change from the rest of the hop bombs at the fest.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Rattle’n’Hum. Plenty of sweetness hiding behind a pretty rough hop charge - a bit on the harsh side, but still a worthy brew. It is always nice to see something I haven’t tried yet from Bear Republic.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ reagle beagle and small bar. Slightly hazed gay orange because I’m gay for stroking the glass to see whether it was clear not, or so my gf says (its true though, I’m gay). Thin head. Faint citrus and sweet nose. Flavors are nicely hoppy with a thick body...hops have a bit of pine along with citrusy orange...thick but not syrupy...good enough for me to get a 2nd pint and a different bar the same night cuz I didn’t rate it the first time round.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at The Daily Pint. Clear amber orange with a nice off-white head and excellent lacing. Modest aromas of piny/resinous hops and bready malt. Flavors came through much stronger, with a nice balance of sharp bitterness offset by bready caramel malt with a touch of honey sweetness. Full body, moderate carbonation, nice creamy, almost chewy mouthfeel, and a clean finish.
