Pass through the event horizon with this IPA2. American Cascades meld a citrus blast with spicy English First Golds. Savor an intense hoppiness, smooth bitterness and subtle malt character. Prepare to go hypersonic!

On tap at The Daily Pint. Clear amber orange with a nice off-white head and excellent lacing. Modest aromas of piny/resinous hops and bready malt. Flavors came through much stronger, with a nice balance of sharp bitterness offset by bready caramel malt with a touch of honey sweetness. Full body, moderate carbonation, nice creamy, almost chewy mouthfeel, and a clean finish.

Pretty soft for a big IPA. Nice citrus and floral notes. Not a tongue scraper. I could drink a lot of this.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. medium to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of modersate to long duration with a small alcohol burn as it warms. This is a very good beer.

Draft in a pint glass - pours a clear amber with tan head. Aroma is, er, hoppy. Taste is bitter. Goes down hoppy and ends hoppy. Not too overpowering for an IPA.

On rap at urge. Golden amber with tiny head. Nose hoppy goodness and light malt. Taste very even hop and malt. Not overpowering in any facet. Hides the abv remarkably. Nice hoppy ipa flavor. Dangerous.

on tap at papago 12/16/2010. iced tea colored pale orange with a sticky whitish head which lasts as a film. seems to be a little hazy. the aroma is fairly unassuming until it warms up... some pine, citrus, bubblegum, pale malt, some vanilla and woodiness. the flavor is the same and oddly not hoppy... until it is swallowed. then it gets bitter and super hoppy in the lingering aftertaste. sweetness is in the distance which helps the medium body and crispness easy enough to put away... a few. 7/3/7/4/16/3.7

On tap at Churchkey. Served in a snifter. Pours an orangish-copper color with a short single-finger white head. There is a bit of lacing dotting the sides of the glass, but not all too much. The nose is pretty weak and I can’t believe this is considered a double IPA. There are some light citrus and pine hops that come through as well as a bit of light malt. The taste is a bit more substantial with a bit of orange, pine, and some light floral notes. There is a touch of bready malt in the background, though that comes out stronger in the mouthfeel. Feel is slightly bitter on a medium body. No alcohol presence at all. This goes down smoothly and drinks surprisingly well for its ABV, but doesn’t have all that much going on. Not a lot of head. Golden color. Pine and citrus aromas. Taste is hoppy and piney with malt notes. Palate is light and creamy. Overall, a pleasantly surprising yet approachable IPA. On tap at Lucky Pie.
