Pass through the event horizon with this IPA2. American Cascades meld a citrus blast with spicy English First Golds. Savor an intense hoppiness, smooth bitterness and subtle malt character. Prepare to go hypersonic!

On draft at Teresa’s. Poured hazy orange with sheets of white lacing. Citrusy nose. Fairly standard West Coast IPA hop profile, resinous pine with citrus and a bitter finish. Nice beer but nothing particularly stands out about this one.

growler from CBX. pours a beautiful, orange gold with a perfect half-inch, off-white head and great lacing. aroma is great with big, pungent citrus hop notes of orange and pink grapefruit, dank grass, wet earth, and sweet caramel malts, with hints of soapy floral esters, vanilla, and pine. flavor is excellent as well with smooth, juicy citrus hop notes of tangerine and pink grapefruit with tropical notes of pineapple and melon backed by big, bitter, piney, and slightly tangy hops with a touch of bready, sweet, caramel malts. palate is medium bodied and slightly sticky with a lingering bittersweet citrus finish. i think this one actually got a lot better after the first few pours and then closing the growler up and letting it chill for a couple hours. overall, a damn nice DIPA.

Growler shared from ksurkin. Thanks! Earthy hop aromas. Citrusy hop flavors with a little sweetness mid palate. Finishes with a little bitterness. Overall an excellent beer.

Draft. Pours hazy golden orange with a pillowy floral white head. Aroma of pungent dry hops, spice, pine, orange and wheat. Medium to full bodied with a hoppy, tangy mouthfeel. Nice smooth, easy finish, especially for an Imperial IPA. Very good.

growler. Syrupy sweet IPA w/ a prickly hop tongue and obvious alcohol heat. It’s enjoyable and bitter but still somewhat off.

On tap at The Other Side Café, Boston MA, 4 November 2009. Clear, bright amber. Thin white head. Persistent lacing. Strong grassy hop aroma. Some pine. Same in the flavour. Bit of alcohol burn. Overall, though, a typical West Coast DIPA - big, bold and brash (and appealing).

Hand bottle thanks to thirdeye11. The look is clear, golden in color, and does not have any head. The smell is hops, malts, floral, caramel, and nice. The taste is malts, floral, citrus, and caramel.
