4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of grapefruit, lemon and pine. Everything I love about ipas right in the nose. Pours night amber with a small head. Taste explosion! Ruby red grapefruit, pine, some grassy notes and a bit of an alcohol sting. Great beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Light to moderate roasted for the malt, spruce and orange peel for the hops, light broth for the yeast, with mango and a hint of alcohol in the background. Head is average size, creamy, white with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is murky amber/orange. Flavor starts moderately sweet and faintly acidic , then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is medium oily with a soft carbonation. Lighter than most DIPAs, but the fruity aromas and flavors keep the score up there as a quality representation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at iTap-Soulard, served in a tulip. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a small off-white head. One of a bunch of BR beers on tap right now as part of the ’Farewell Missouri’ tour. Aroma of sweet malts, grassy hops, copper, salt, sugar, and leaves. Flavor of bitter leafy hops, grapefruit, caramel malts, crackers, and sweet corny cereal. Light-medium bodied, with a bitterness that lingers and medium carbonation. Decent DIPA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Ginger Man in NYC. The body shows a clear, dark, golden-amber color with a small, foamy, off-white blanket for a head. Dense, solid walls of lacing coat the glass nicely. The nose is loaded with toasty-sweet caramelized malt, along with countering candied orange peel and citrus blossom florals. While it smells pretty darn sweet, the flavor is a bit more bitter than I expected it to be, showing lightly peppery tendencies, oily orange rind, and some dusty wildflowers. The body is dense and slick, gliding along the tongue easily but finishing with a dry, slightly sticky sweetness. Alcohol is present throughout, but not overbearing. Overall, it’s not really my style. It’s too malt driven, and the palate just doesn’t excite me. Decent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Sierra. I had hopes that this one would be just as good as racer X, let’s see. Poured out really nice sparkling golden with a thick white head. Lots of floral notes on the nose suggesting to me that the citrus isn’t gonna be too high. Lots of bitter hops used in this one! I’d love to know the IBU’s as it was bitter and hoppy but enjoyable. Not the best IIPA, but I was pleased to try it.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap @ Freshcraft on Halloween night. Clear darkish orange with a small white laceful head. Very citrusy floral aroma, delightfully tropical hoppy, bitter and resinous, yet sweet as well. Flavor was bright and big and citrusy and tropical, sweet with a grassy floral hop bite. Bitter but complex and refined. Some grapefruit, some resin, with a hefty balancing dose of caramel sweetness. Absolutely a joy to drink.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber-gold with modest white head / Sweet nose of cooked fruit and pine / Medium body, sweet and malty, with sharp biting hop balance and good, bitter, finish / Flavors of light brown sugar, pine, cooked citrus fruit, and resin / Dull fruit flavors and excessive sugar detracts.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: Draft at Fireworks. It pours a cloudy brownish orange with a small, off-white head. The nose is full of citrus with lots of ripe orange. The flavor is mostly grapefruit and orange. Very mild mannered for a DIPA in my mind. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Not bad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Amber. Smells like a sweet DIPA. A little on the perfumey side. Still has a hop build- building on itself to have a nice finish.
