From bomber to tulip and paired with Indian food. Aroma is moderate high spiciness, moderate stone fruit and herbs. Faint rose petal. Pours a murky copper-orange with white head that leaves only a collar around the rim. Taste has citrus and pine than the aroma. Moderate-high bitterness. Moderate alcohol on both the aroma and warming effects in the mouthfeel. Becomes a little sherry-like as it warmed. Late in the glass, the alcohol becomes very pronounced and the beer starts to fall apart a little.

Snifter bought for by Charles at the Nobi .. . Dark gold orange .. Fantastic frothing foam .. Lots of sappy goodness- mild flowers and citrus too .. Mouth is quite full, solid finish .. A very well made double that I happily stank while breaking stuff

Draught at the Bear Republic, Healdsburg, CA.
Clear amber colour with a small white head. Mild sweet hops and caramel malt in a mild aroma. Strong sweet piney and resiny hoppy flavour with strong bitterness and caramel malt. Rather balanced. Sweet and bitter.

Aromas of peach juice, tons of orange zest, grapefrui peel, tangerine, mango, floral hops, some dankness, very slight buttery and piney notes. Appears a bright peach color with a very thin white foam. Taste is surprisingly dank, much more than in the aroma. Big dankness, very impressive hop profile with pines, herbs, resin, hop oils, leafy hops, and also big bright orange, peach, mango, tangerine, grapefruit and stone fruit. Finishes very dry with a lot of bitterness. Overall, this is a pretty impressive IIPA. I’m really liking the hop profile on it. Reminds me of my current homebrew. A rating.

Citrus, green tea, earthiness. Cloudy copper with dense white head. Alcohol and lots of resin. Not much hop flavor otherwise. Malt balanced well with hop but beer is a bit too dense.

Pint on tap at Tylers Taproom Durham. Nearly opaque orange with a lasting film of cream. Aroma is orange, resin, tangerine and a touch of malt. Taste is zesty tangerine, flowery resin, caramel and a bit of booze. Medium body has medium carbonation and is well balanced.

On tap at Hay Merchant, Houston. Very enjoyable beer. Nice head and great lacing, the color is dark orange. Aroma is typical DIPA stuff, big citrus, tropical fruits, etc. Taste is the same. Great DIPA, but it can’t touch Apex.
