Tap @ Jake’s. Clear, light amber pour with a short white head leaving heavy lace. Dry, malty nose with a hint of hops. Medium body and fine, moderate carbonation that yields a pleasant mouth feel. Almonds, caramel, toast, tea, citrus - all light flavors that combined with the mouth feel make this one very sessionable.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2011 Draught at spikes. Amber with a slight haze and a good head. A little grapefruit rind and papery earth in the aroma. Bitter and hoppy flavor with a bit of astringency in the finish. Earthy and a bit papery. A little rough around the edges and perhaps a little old as well. Can’t say I’m a big fan of it.

Poured on draft. Appearance is a translucent amber with a great head of sticky white foam that left the perfect rings of lacing that you only see pictures of. Aroma is sweet hops and a light malt influence. Taste is initially sweet hops giving way to a slightly dry finish. Bear Republic, you’ve done it again.

Draft. Decent bitter. More west coast hops than a traditional bitter. Good burger summer beer.

Decent bitter style ale. Reminded me ever so slightly of a lighter Red Rocket Ale. Poured a burnt amber color with a slight off-white head. Hops show up in the first sip and fade somewhat quickly.

Red pour on draught. Thin head. Hop aroma. Medium body malt with many of what seemed to me like tea notes. Sweet malt with tea in the finish.

Stupid app ate my rating. Poor beverage. Very little going on. Tiny bit of good hop taste, but everything else is reallly bland and bad. Boring and lame. Disapointed by Bear.
