750ml bottle from Knightly Spirits in Orlando. Small snifter. Pours a dark brown with a light dissipating head. No lacing. Aroma of prunes, malts, toffee and pumpernickel. Taste is similar with hop balance. Almost no carbonation. I wonder if my bottle is old?? Medium body. Flavor is OK but it just seems old to me.

Aroma is malts, toffee, mild nuttiness and a hint of coffee. The flavor is nutty malts, toffee, tea and a mild hop bitterness in the finish.

Tap. Clear hazel, small tan head, great lacing. Aroma is caramel, bread, roast. Flavor adds and odd vegetable note, plus brown sugar. Medium sweet, light bitter. Not for me.

The bottling date is unreadable.
Appearance: The body appears muddy and opaque with a chestnut hue until viewed through light where it shows a deep and clear garnet. The head is short and lasts only a little while, but it leaves a thin and sparse coating along with a thin bubbly ring.
Aroma: The aroma leans sweet, but this smells a bit dated. Chocolate and vanilla come to mind, sort of a Whoppers like aroma.
Taste: The flavor is right on with the aroma, milky chocolate with hints of vanilla and brown sugar, the finish is a bit more full in flavor than the intro and lingers only a moment. This drinks decent.
Palate: Full bodied, but a bit low in carbonation. This comes off a bit watery.
Overall: This is technically a good beer, but something about it is a bit off. I’m thinking it’s old. I’ll have to try this fresh.

Deep mahogany colored pour with ruby highlights. Big off-white almost khaki head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is chocolatey right up front with a nice smooth malt finishing up. Pretty good.

650ml bottle. Clear mahagony colour with small, firm, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Malty aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, a nuttily touch, some nougat, hints of toast. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty with a nuttily touch, hints of nougat, marzipan, nice bitter hoppy counterweight. Well balanced, really good Brown Ale.

Had on draft at the brewery. Coffee, caramel, fruity, malty rich. This is definitely an American Brown ale. Malty and rich.
