A: The pour on this one is dark brown with a finger of off-white head.
S: The prickly pear certainly comes through on this. The base beer does too. There is a nice bit of tartness to the nose, but it’s mostly vinegar. It’s also quite sweet with a bit of a Jolly Rancher quality.
T: I thought the aroma was sweet but that was nothing after tasting this beer. Incredibly sweet and sugary with a ton of Jolly Rancher and prickly pear sweetness. A mild to moderate acetic sourness is there but is overwhelmed.
M: Medium body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Although I thought the nectarine version was quite good, this one missed the mark big time.

Deep brown pour with a thick tan head. The nose is dark and soft with a lot of toasted aroma. A lot of fruity nose with a sweet candi sugar character. More Belgian tasting that the BA version although there is clearly some wildness beginning to take this one over as well. Chewy with a little bit of the same type of yeastiness along the back as the BA version. Lingering malic tartness but it still seems a little bit underattenuated.

On tap at Sourfest. Pours with a very deep brown body with a small tan head. Aromas are lightly fruity, oak, vinous, vinegar, caramel and red wine. Flavors are earthy, fruity, funky, slightly vegital/soil like. Medium bubbles, fruity with a dry finish.

On tap at Bar Great Harry. Pours a deep ruby and garnot hued brown with a medium sized beige head. Light vanilla, soft mushy fruit. Old malt, syrup and old fruit. Nice light tartness. Light acid and vinegar, a bit of wood, tartness.

Draft. Pours brown with an off beige head. Tart candy like aroma with a hint of acidity. The flavor is lightly sour/tart with some fruity sweetness. Pretty good.

Draft. Pours a dark bruin body with an off white head. Light pear tones, mild acidity hints of pears a bit warming. A bit messy in the middle maybe to much etoh. The finish is nice however with a light pear lingering. Decent.

Draft at Stone Sour Fest 11. Dark brown pour, minimal head. Very sweet, lots of pear, light vinegar sourness, and sugar. One of the worst beers at the fest, not interesting.

Draft at sour festival 2011. Black with tan head Nose is sweet. Taste is sweet peachy fuzzy, all in all pretty interesting.

Tap at BGH. Drank this along with the regular BA and tangerine versions. Very little difference between them. Near black pour. Sweet, very fruity aroma, bursting with apple pie, nectarine, guava. Prominent but mellow acetic acid in the flavor, mild fruitiness, with an astringent/diaper finish.
