22oz bottle. Nice dark gold pour. Big citrus hop nose, that tended to obscure maltiness. Maybe too big a nose for a standard IPA. Medium malty body, maybe overpowered, imo, by too much of the cascade-style hops. Nice strong bitter bite at the end. As for standard ’bjcp’ IPAs go, this beer is unbalanced. But its damn good none-the-less.

Golden with a small white head, some racing. Lots of hop aromas make this a straightforward IPA. Smells like a loaf of fresh-baked bread, some soap and some faint citrus which is more present in the taste. A full-on hop bite kicks off the palate, but from then on it is smooth sailing. Hops are showcased throughout the palate -- and on this brew, who cares about balance? Very good, drinkable and hoppy effort.

Pours dark gold color with little to no head. There are some big chunks of yeast that are quite unappealing. The aroma wasn’t as powerful as I would have liked but there are some minor grapefruit and citrus notes. Strong hop bitterness but countered by a good maltiness. There’s a strong syrupy sweetness that makes for medium to full body. Really good IPA.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2007 On tap at brewery....YEEE-HAWWW! A hoppy beast of a beer! Typical copper color with full head. Wonderful hop nose....pine, citrus, floral. Then WHAM...what a great hops taste...just wonderful. Can’t even describe how much I like this stuff.

Poured with a beautimous big rocky foam head over a copper/orange body. Nice restrained hop aroma. The flavor is well balanced ... gristy hops that are earthy and fruity at the same time with a nice chunky backdrop and a bitter lemon twist of a finish. Awesome.

22oz bottle. Served at 48.5° in a Duvel tulip. The beer is orange with a 3/4" white head. This is bottle conditioned and you get some sediment in the 2nd pour. The aroma is hops heavenly. Wildflower honey, citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon), perfume aromas with a touch of pine. The taste is sweet malt, citrus, pepper, pine with a good, stiff bitterness. The finish is dry, with piney flavors. Nice mouthfeel. A very well done IPA.

Bomber. Pours a pale translucent gold color, large off-white head. Aroma of light malts and a big bunch o’ hops. Taste follows suit...nothing fancy here which is nice....it’s not afraid to be decent IPA. As it warms you sense the acceptable balance of hops and malts. Finish is clean and bitter. Nice IPA.

From a 22oz bomber. Pours a hazy orange copper with a thick orangey-white head. Persistent lace. Smell is big citrus and floral hops. More sweet smelling than bitter. Taste is fruity and citrusy. Nice malt backbone to lets the lupulins shine. Hoppy bitterness but lots of more complex flavors in there too. Dandelion and daisy flavors if you can believe it. Grapefuity citrus and a slow assertive lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied and rounded hop profile. Very drinkable IPA and refreshingly complex. A good bet for sure.

Orange with a white head. Sweet citrus aroma complimented by hops. The citrus notes: orange and lemon dominate the hops. The flavor is a different story. The hops become the dominating flavor with the citrus adding support. The hops are especially present in the finish which is quite lovely. The sweet citrus notes in the aroma fade to bitter orange and lemon in the flavor. Very smooth body.
