Cookie, bread malt (M); pine, spruce, grapefruit hops (H). Very clean nose. Hazy copper body with small particles. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter, moderately acidic flavor becomes a lightly sweet, heavily bitter, lightly acidic finish. Medium heavy body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: another well built Bear Republic beer.

This one pours very light in color for an IPA, with a nice two finger sticky fluffy head. The aroma is very full and hoppy with lots of citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruit. Zesty with a little bit of fresh bakery cookie dough as well, sweet and sugary. The flavor is slightly reminiscent of Stone IPA, perfectly balanced. Bitter and sweet all at the same time, followed by a great malt backbone. The finish leaves some beautiful lacing. This is just a great IPA!

Orangish gold with a light large head and vigerous carbonation. This has a very nice citrus hop aroma and a faint sweet malt presence. The flavor is dominated by hops. Strong citrus, grapefruit, floral, and pine make this a nice beer for a hop head. There is a faint alcohol presence bringing a nice warmth with a medium finish.

Tasted in NYC. Tasted at Brewtopia 04. At this event, it tasted slightly off. Had a spicy aroma and taste, but also had a slightly bitter soapy taste that didn’t finish nicely at all.

the IPA of the night, hoppy, fruity aroma with hints of apples and orange. Long lasting a bit citrusy hoppy taste with a nice dry finish .. very good

Pours a pale amber/gold mix with a lasting head. Aroma is of hops and malt in a decent balance. Also honey in the flavor. A good beer.

Dark orange color, liveley carbonation, little head trub. Apple and hops- gras nose. Medium long lasting hoppy taste with intervalling pine and grapefruit tones. Chalky dry finish. Mmmmh

/// 22oz bottle /// Pours a deep golden color, slight head but with nice lacing. Does not quite smell as I would have expected for this "hoppy" of a beer. Fair malt backbone (whoa, I just had a hop burp) hops are the focus here, rather piney with minimal cirtus flavor. Nice after taste, however the alcohol becomes apparent as the beer warms. No complaints about this fine brew (other than it not being available in PA - would love to drink more)

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2005 Standard amber color, coarse, somewhat lasting head. Sharp hoppy aroma; citrus, pine, grass, juniper/gin. I like the idea of using Columbus as an aroma hop, cut by some good ol’ Cascades. Flavor is sweetly malty, but the hops scrub much of the sweetness away. Full, silky mouthfeel.
