UPDATED: SEP 5, 2009 I got a lot more sweetness on my latest rate, but still, a solid IPA. Wow, my newbie days rating is not fair to this great beer. A nice aroma of grapefruit with some light pine and flowers. The taste is strong grapefruit and bread crust with some almonds. Very soft and refined mouthfeel. I agree with my old rating except for crticizing an IPA for being hoppy! Original rating follows. Another from this brewer that did not impress me. Pours from the bottle with a deep gold and orange color. Had a large off-white head. Nice to see an IPA that actually had a decent long lasting head. The taste is orange peel with a little sweetness at first. As it warms, it becomes pine and soap. If I had this again, I would prefer to drink it fast and have it cooler. Thanks civforprez.

Bomber bottle. Pours clear golden orange in color with a nice white head. Light and clean hop aroma. Enjoyable. Has a big hop flavor with bitterness. Hops linger to the end. Really Good.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2005 The aroma was fairly light, but could smell a little hops. Had a very sweet taste for an IPA, but nicely balanced with the hops. The beer had a nice full texture in my mouth. A very drinkable beer. I like it! I’d definitely buy this beer again.

22 oz Bomber. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Light clean fresh hop aroma, nothing assertive. Flavor is big in both hop flavor and bitterness, yet lets the malt sweetness shine through. The malt seems to coat the mouth nicely. Hops linger to the end. I am liking this....

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2008 On tap. Honey colored, hazy, no head or lacing. Honey and flowers on aroma. Well balanced, honey sweet, flowery bitter--fantastic! 10/2008 Bottled. I’ve also had on tap in Healdsburg. Cloudy, honey body, sparkling lightly and topped with a small, creamy head that laces quite nicely. Nice, strong aroma of hops, floral, sweet, citrusy, pine, inviting. Medium-full body with light, foamy-creamy carb. I taste sugar, grapefruit rind, pollen, flower petals, pine, wood on finish. Long, moderately bitter aftertaste and my stomach attests to the hop content of this beer. Alcohol is transparent.

Nice hoppy aroma is citrusy (orange) and grassy. Lots of hop flavor, but good supporting malt. Medium body. Lingering bitterness. Very nicely balanced IPA.

medium golden color, creamy egg-shell white head-somewhat lasting, lots of grapefruit in the aroma, some pine, plenty of caramel, well-balanced aroma. flavor is very smooth, and pretty much a carbon copy of the aroma. excellent bitter finish.

Pours turbid dark straw colored, with a huge white head. Great aroma of hops, malt, citrus, slight yeast. Tastes very hoppy, piney, vinous, with a nice smooth, citrus and hop finish.
