Copper color with a very lively head. Hops all over the nose with touches of honey laced oranges. Nice balance between the malt and extra hops. Finish is nice and bitter, just what I wanted!

Pretty good description - that of the slight twist from standard IPA. Not wildly different, but much maltier than I'm used to and delicious hops. I would let it move in to my neighborhood and even come over for dinner, hang out, watch movies. Mmmmm .. tasty!

UPDATED: APR 26, 2005 ReRate-22oz bomber-pours a light orange hue with a huge white head and vigerous carbonation. Huge fresh hop aroma comes rushing out of my snifter from a few feet away. I looked at the bottom of this bottle and it had alot of sediment. This bottle wasnt fresh, but damn, this beer held up so damn well! great lacing! Great citric tones of grapefruit, tangerine and flowers. some pineyness in the finish, but not overly bitter-sweet pale malts have a firm balance here. Wonderful! 22oz bomber-wow, when i cracked this thing open, the sweet hops came right at my nose! aroma was very nice, but much the same from the hop rod rye they make. flavor was full of hops from start to finish, but the malts did come through more than i thought they would. a little one dimensional, but thats fine with me, since im a hophead!

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2003 Great ipa with the right amount of hops and citrusy flavors. Even more fun to drink while watching F1 on TV

Pine and grapefruit aroma, golden color, gread head and fantastic lacing. Hoppy, of course, but there is some interesting malt body underneath it.

Apricot colour, a piny aroma with maybe some peachy notes. flavor of grapefruit zest, nice dryness, a bit edgy.

Crystal clear, light amber ale. Large, off-white, frothy head with spotty lacing. Smells piney, like a big, fresh Cascade hop cone. Malty undertones (caramel). Moderately and warmly bitter. Piney too! Plenty of rich malt to balance the flavor. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Astringent. Lengthy, dry and bitter finish with notes of earth and wood at the very end. So close to being a world class beer!

Copper color with a light, sweetish, soft floral nose. Lacing on the glass, lingering bitter finish but not over the top. I like Bear Republic. Thanks Redlem!

Huge creamy head tops this amber hued brew. Nice lace cling to glassware. Aroma has big pine esters as well as soapy, spicy, grassy and grapefruit hints. Initial taste was sweet but soon a big rush of bitter hops announced it's presence. Very piney aftertaste and dry finish. This medium-bodied brew has a lively and metallic mouthfeel. Hides the 7% ABV too damn well. I'm becoming a big fan of Bear Republic's beers, hope to find some on tap next week in NoCal.

Golden amber, white head and nice lacing. Stong hoppy aroma with spice and pine present. Big hop kick with some malt sweetness. A little unbalanced and leaves a pucker. Medium body with lots of carbonation.
