Very fruity with lots of mango, light pine and grapefruit bitterness, not much nose to speak of. Really hits the spot after a hard days work.

My quest for awesome American IPAs that I cannot acquire in Toronto takes a stop at this beauty. What a fantastic brew. I’m pretty sure this is older than it should be --due to ABC Liqour Store not giving a rat’s ass for shelf life -- & its still a fantastic example of the style. Pours deep mango gold & offers a mushy one finger cap. As for style, this one leans more toward citrus & pine hops & less on the bitterness. It results in a sharp, tasty hop experience. Very balanced. My comrade in hop juice back in Canada -- Mr Hippyhop (not sure if his ratebeer tag is a hip-hop reference or a trippy hippy nod ) -- would dig this. Wish I could get this back home. Damn.

Flight on tap at The Royal Pig Fort Lauderdale. Aroma: tropical fruits, citrus, orange. App: clear pale, minimal head. Taste and palate: thin to medium body, light bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Overall: really easy to drink, would like something more bitter though.

This beer pours a hazy golden yellow color with a medium white head that had great retention and left a good amount of lacing around the glass. The aroma is very citrusy, orange, grapefruit, very tropical, and some pine. The taste is more of the same. The hops are there slightly to help round it out with some bitterness. I would not have guessed 75 ibu’s. The alcohol is also hidden quite well. The mouthfeel is on the medium side and the drinkability is quite high as well.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2015 After drinking beer for so many years, I was introduced to IPA?s about 16 months ago. Better late than never. My first offering was BR Racer 5. It was illumination. Since then I have scoured the country seaching and acquiring exotic and esoteric Craft IPA?s in quest of the perfect offering. It just so happens that yesterday, I was browsing in one of the stores I frequent and there it was, the foundation of my journey. I decided to get grounded and centered again. I had established a baseline from this beer. Purchased a 6pk and began the love affair all over again. Aromatic hops, pine and grapefruit bursting with flavor and ending with sweet bitterness. It seems what I’ve been searching for has been right here all along. Welcome back my friend.

Another great example of the style. A little light on nose yet got resin. Has fruity goodness and bitterness, late, on taste. Looks good. Ticks right boxes. 7.5%, 12oz, 2.2std drks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. For rating number 2,300 I picked one that has received many high ratings before this one. The pour is a cloudy pale yellow with a short-lived white head and a touch of lacing. What strikes me as interesting about the aroma is this sort of melted caramel mingling with the earthy, grassy hops. The body is a bit better than medium. The taste is nicely balanced with a toasted caramel beginning and a mellower but notable grassy hop finish. I can see why this gets such high ratings.

A good classic IPA. Classic bitter hops. A nice amber color with a fairly good-sized white head, Lots of bitter on the palette with a nice long finish. A good enjoyable IPA,

Pours a nice cloudy orange with chunky foam. Taste is creamy like cream soda with spices, very enjoyable. Trixie and chim chim would be proud. The bomber was $5 ironically. Go speed racer go!
