4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A great IPA to drink and enjoy. Pours a hazy orange with a coarse hoppy foam. Fruity aroma. Body is perfect not too dry or too cloying. Taste is like surfing on hops. Can taste the malt at first followed by complex hop components. Very fruity. Almost tropical fruitlike. Mango? Very bitter beer, even harsh but this is true to style and is not overwhelmingly bitter. Only other comment is the lower than usual level in the bottle. Foam problems during bottling? I want my 12 fl oz!

Not much head, nice orange/reddish color. Pleasant piney hops smell and taste akin to Pliny but a little more malty with stronger aftertaste.

Beautiful cloudy orange pour with a slightly off white pillowy head. Hops from cracking the bottle in the nose until minutes after you swallow. Malts add add some balance and sweetness. Well executed!

Poured from bottle into a snifter glass
Appearance – The beer pours a medium golden amber color with a mall white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is good with a nice mix of caramel malt and some lighter sweet fruit aromas. Mixed with these are some smells of a resinous pine and citrus hop giving it a west coast IPA nose.
Taste – The taste begins with flavors of some tropical fruits mixed with a caramel malt and bready backbone. As the flavors advance, the tongue is initially meet with some flavors of a grapefruit hop nature. These hit fairly strong and abruptly giving a hopped citrusy taste to the brew even with the sweeter fruit and malty flavors. With the advent of a sudden resinous pine hop taste and a bit of earthy hop also coming to the tongue later in the taste, when all is said and done a bitter hopped up flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is smooth and creamy with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. The medium body baths the tongue in all the hop and malt flavors really allowing them to be sensed by the taste buds. The carbonation level being slightly high adds a good exciting tingling feel to counterbalance some of the bitter that the hop leaves, making for a rather enjoyable feel overall.
Overall – This was a nice smooth but yet still well hoped brew. A good go to.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
nose: super dank. fruit on the border of spoilage, nail polish, sharp hops.
palate: it’s aliiive! damn, that is an intense brew. i’m getting very complex, sharp, intense grapefruity hops initially, followed by pineaple juice with white pepper. texture is almost belgian, yeast definitely asserts itself. very spicy on the back end like weed but no bitterness which is almost unheard of.. i dont really like it, but i imagine certain peeps will go nuts for this.

Pours a delightful gold color and has great lacing. Tastes slightly bitter and hop heavy with a nice after taste. A solidly crisp IPA that is more a session IPA than a memorable one.

Bottle from Phil shared with McTapps. Classic and classy one with decent hops and some floral moments. Accompanied by some herbs and spices. Mild and balanced ending. Fine one.

Bottle from trade with Phil - many thanks! Pours out in a golden-amber colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of fresh hops and spruce. Taste of fresh hops, coriander, thyme, pine, spruce, citrus fruits and mild spices. Nice balanced bitterness with a quaffable finish. Enjoyed it.
