KyotoLefty (1371), Kyoto, Japan Jun 11, 2009 Draught at Q-Brick.
Huge, bitter aroma and flavor of citrus and piney hops. Lightish malt, well, not light, but completely overwhelmed by the hops. A touch of caramel. Very interesting hopping, but I prefer my beer with a semblance of balance.
beerfest5 (128), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA Jun 10, 2009 overall i found this to be an above average ipa, nothing great nothing terrible. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 9, 2009 Bottle. Large fin bubbled off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Cloudy golden pale amber color. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, light perfume, peach, pineapple. Excellent chewy hoppy fresh feel. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Lingering fruity pineapple bitter finish. scrizzz (1252), kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 5, 2009 I forgot how good this beer is and wonder why I haven’t rated it. This has the stemmy, grassy, citrus and herbal aromas I crave in an IPA, and all in the right proportion and balance. Hazy yellow/gold, thick spongy head with a few welcomed floaties. Sweet pineapple and juicy lemon, grassy body, light herbal finish. vtafro (452), , New Jersey, USA Jun 4, 2009 Bottle. IPA has great aroma and and a solid flavor that lasted the entire bottle. These beers are starting to grow on me, still will never become a hophead however. BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA Jun 3, 2009 I shared this with MereLIkesBeer:) 12. oz bottle from Andersons in toledo OH. It pours a hazy straw yellow with small white head. I liked this beer. Very tasty and refreshing, especially given the ABV. MereLikesBeer said it better than me.. Cheers! MereLikesBeer (153), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Jun 3, 2009 This beer poured a hazy dark orangy amber with a off white thin head. There weren’t too many if any bubbles running up the side of my glass and there was a bit of sediment hanging out. There was a big hoppy aroma not overwhelming with any other smells though. This beer tasted great! Very hoppy, not too much of a citrus or smoky taste coming from this beer. Overall I enjoyed it very much. Yay for road trip beers! WesKBob (317), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA Jun 2, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with thin white head. Aromia is citrus and piney hops. Flavor hits with bitter hops up front, but smooths out with some caramel malt and citrusy and grassy hops. Mouthfeel is medium and very drinkable. Surprisingly smooth, considering the hops. A very nice IPA.
