MrBeerFanatic (344), jamestown, New York, USA Apr 28, 2009 Pours a deep copper that plays off the light with a fluffy white head. Big sweet aroma of hops with some malt. Good flavor of hops with a slightly malty backbone. Some floral and pine. Sweet and bitter bite. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. I liked this IPA but it was just overall a little off for me, but still good. chuwy (21), Japan Apr 28, 2009 On tap at thrashzone. Nice IPA. Good first impression. Fruity initial nose and flavor. Then got a peppery mouthfeel. I get pepper and sweet malts. Plus lots of hops in the nose and hop bitterness in the flavor. Still, can’t escape that pepper. Nice beer. Had an Apex DIPA before this, so my taste buds may still be numb. I preferred this on bottle. Still, poured very well here at Thrashzone, Yokohama, Japan. As it warms, it gets better. A very nice American IPA. More mellow than a west coast or ruination bit still full of hops. Good beer. manuchampions (95), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 22, 2009 Bottle. Nice honey and hop aroma. Pours a clear copper with light lacing and very little head. Nice, soft biscuity taste immediately before the hops bite in and linger pleasantly. Good mouthfeel without much carbonation. Very good. NomDeBeer (397), Maryland, USA Apr 21, 2009 Aroma is citrus hops and some alcohol, the combination of which creates added aromas of cherry and honey. Taste is caramel, citrus hops, a touch of alcohol. Nice bite in the back of the tongue, with a long, bittersweet finish. Carbonation is lower than expected for an IPA - a good thing in my opinion. Very drinkable and enjoyable. harbuck76 (127), El Cajon, California, USA Apr 19, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep orange with medium head. Huge floral aroma citrusy piney hops . Has a somewhat sweet malt backbone. This is one of the best smelling ipas i’ve had. nice price on a 6 pack. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Apr 19, 2009 Draft at MacGregor’s. Very nice appearance, dark golden, thick white head and lacing. Intense aroma of grapefruit and some pine. Some nice maltiness in the palate to go along with all the hops. Several at our table tried this, all liked it. CapnCascade (116), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 15, 2009 Clear amber pour with lots of floaties; wispy white head with moderate retention and complex lacing. Aroma of piney hops, candy sugar, berries, and savoury herbs--awesome! Flavour is dominated by sweet malt, candy sugar, and floral hops. Long finish with a spicy hop character, mouthfeel is on the lighter side with good carbo. Nice. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Apr 13, 2009 On tap at Zeitgeist, San Francisco, 27th March 09, with Phyllis. The favoured brew of my Swedish games industry friends ;-) Standard amber looks. Loads of lovely hops on the nose and in the mouth. Dry and refreshing with good citrus flavours. Very moreish!
