Apr 12, 2009 Bottle, from a little beer run up to MO with Mr. Reeser. Pours a pleasant pale gold with some good sticky butter colored foam. Deep sticky musky hop nose, grapefruit, gooseberry and melon, overripe and baking in the sun. A sort of bright zippy green smell that makes me think a little of a bright un-oaked.chardonnay. Electric resiny hop oil flavor, very pungent and full-flavored, but not shockingly bitter. Gentle balancing malt firmness. Rather modest level of carbonation, which is such a pleasant surprise in an American IPA. Just enough sparkle to keep it delicate, no more. A remarkably fine IPA, generous, gregarious, but not overbearing. I like this beer. I think I should hang out more with this beer. I have apologize to this beer for ever thinking Cascade and Columbus were, like, so last year.

Apr 11, 2009 Herbal aroma and taste, but with balancing malt. Lots of "floaties", which I like. Hop bitterness lingers. Excellent IPA!

Apr 8, 2009 My favorite West Coast single IPA. Tremendous amounts of citrus and floral hops. Clean and refreshing, plus a great deal for a bomber. Much better on tap though. Seeing it listed at any pub brings a smile to my face. A vastly underrated IPA, even considering its high ratings.

Apr 7, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours mostly translucent orange. Nice white head, great lacing all around the glass. Aroma might be the best I’ve smelled yet. Hops and pine, big time. Smells like a freshly cut tree 2 weeks before Christmas. Tastes like pineapple and orange, with a little pine. Hops finish and a linger orange presence. Can’t believe I passed over this IPA for a full 2 years- my new favorite IPA!

Apr 6, 2009 One of my favorite IPA’s and reasonably priced here in the bay area. Its orange amber in color with a small nice beige head. Nice aroma of sweet and spicy caramel combines with grapefruit and grass. Good malt character for an IPA. Flavor is sweet malty caramel, toffee with a very hoppy bitter IPA bite. The balance is welcome and enjoyable and sets this beer apart from the enormous pack of west coast IPAs.

Apr 5, 2009 From a 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine. Aroma is moderately hoppy. The taste however is piney with a pineapple finish. Bolder than some double IPAs. Near the top of it’s category in my opinion.

Apr 5, 2009 Pours a golden cinnamon, medium-foam head, lasting and lacey. Solid aroma of citrus and pine. Big hop taste, but not bitter or overpowering, with grapefruit flavor riding in about 3 seconds in. The fruitiness lingers to a very smoothe, full finish. Nice IPA.

Mar 30, 2009 Great aroma.....big notes of orange rind, citrus and grapefruit, with some hints of pine. Flavor is bursting with hops....grapefruit and pine,with some resin notes. Nice malt backbone...not too overpowering....goes along well with the hops...some biscuit presence with a sticky mouthfeel. Great IPA for the price and quality!
