kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 22, 2009 Bottle courtesy of screach. Pours a hazy yellow-caramel color with a one finger white fizzy head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of sweet malt, caramel, grapefruit, pine, spice, Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of citrus, floral hops, honey, caramel, some maltiness. Generally light to medium body with a pleasing floral hops finish. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Feb 22, 2009 Who sent me this bottle? Mar? i don’t remember, but I am glad I got to try it. Not bad. An apricot color with a white head. The hops hit your nose with some resin and citrus and keep hitting you all the way through the sipping. Has just enough malt to make this a beer worth having another. Good. Pwn3d (1040), Manhattan, New York, USA Feb 20, 2009 Had on tap at Rattle n Hum in nyc. Pours what looked to be on the light side with orange yellowish hint. I dont like the style, but this was an exception. Very good IPA, spice/pine flavors not overpowering, great lace work. nice balanced. recommended. Barreras (121), Diamond Bar, California, USA Feb 19, 2009 Updated: Aug 17, 2009Bottle from Bev Mo, very hoppy beer. Can taste it throughout the entire beer. Cloudy orange slight brown color, decent beer if you want a full hoppy type of beer. brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Feb 19, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle this awesome IPA pours an orange color with a decent white head. Smell of hops (and more hops) and pine, floral and grapefruit. Nice taste of citrus hops, caramel malt and a sweet sugary follow-up. Decent carbonation - not too much. ABV is a litle high for a session beer (7%) and some attention is required to drink this one - but I could see myself knocking a few of these back without any problem. Nice, nice brew..... A little pricey for everyday drinking but Racer 5 will find a steady home in my beer fridge for when I want something a cut above the others. TKA300 (99), Carbondale, Illinois, USA Feb 17, 2009 Updated: May 22, 2009From a 22. oz bomber. Excellent brew. Has an extremely hoppy aroma, and pours a murky orange-brown. Flavor was really hoppy, but pretty refreshing at the same time. A fantastic beer, I’ll definitely have to buy again. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Feb 16, 2009 Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours a yellow-orange brown with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, caramel, citrus, and floral hops. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, and a very gentle, flavorful hops experience. Enjoyable, but slightly Simcoe hoppy at the finish. Very nice and great lacing on the glass. Excellent. allfreej (358), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Feb 15, 2009 On tap at The Big Hunt, Washington, DC.
