4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Maris (544) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2012
From a 355ml bottle on 30/4/2012. Pours a clear golden, with little head. Has a strong, impressive piney hop aroma with some floral notes. Has a muted fruity caramel sweetness to begin, but a massive, long resiny, grapefruit bitterness quickly takes over. Then, curiously, it reverts back to sweet with a dash of mandarin. A huge, hoppy delight, with oodles of character.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Deep golden color, almost copper, with a thick, creamy white head. Tasted at a warmer temperature than I normally prefer - the beer was about 60 degrees on an 85 degree late April day - but that temperature allowed a nose full of hops to come through. Very crisp, a bit heavy in alcohol (7%), full bodied. Nice mouth feel. Very good beer. Should be great on a hot summer day, when I will try it next.

This beer and ale asylum’s bedlum is mirror images of each other. both are unbelievable for an ipa

On draft. Pours light hazy golden medium white head. Nice floral, pine, and citrus aroma. Taste had some sweet malts come through along with fruit, followed by a nice layering of hops in the finish. Medium-above bitterness, average carbonation, medium-light body. Excellent IPA.
3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rondphoto (612) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 28, 2012
Nice looking light golden-orange amber, minimal head, heavily spotted lace. Caramel malt quickly allows input from American hops. No damage done - the two mingle very nicely to the finish. A fine example of an American IPA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 colinize (32) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 27, 2012
Better than average American IPA. Pours a hazy straw color with a pleasant aroma of citrus and pine. Pronounced hops dominate the flavor profile, but beer lacks depth as the middle and finish drop out after the initial hop rush. Still better then most IPAs on the market, but not world class.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rejtable (472) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 26, 2012
Really nice one. Pours dark straw with an initial frothy head that dissipates to a light covering. Not much lacing. Good bitterness up front with some middle buttery notes, maybe come pear. Good long bitter finish. Bit light in the mouth and overall found this on the lighter side compared to some of the other big IPAs.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear amber pour with a white head. Fresh citrus burst in the nose with a splash of grassy hop, lime and vanilla. Tongue tingling citrus, peach and tropical fruit flavour. Fresh hop laden finish. Tasty stuff.

Originally reviewed: 1/20/09. Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with virtually little to no head present. Just a thin sheet rests on top, but this leaves nice lacing rings surprisingly. Smells wonderful as my nose is filled with scents of grapefruit, lemon, grassy hops, floral tones - Mmmmm.
Nice crips hop bitterness right off the bat, but not overly so. Doesn’t leave the bitter aftertaste that turns some away. Nice grapefruit-like flavor as well. Some slight caramel flavor hangs in there, but is very subtle. I really like this beer. This is one of my new favorite IPAs.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mile (1447) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 21, 2012
Bottle. Dark golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and some tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and some tropical fruitiness with some citrus and grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light fruitiness, some caramel and some citrus - grapefruit hoppyness. Sweetish and fruity IPA with caramel - too sweet and too much caramel.
