Apr 18, 2008 Pours with a thick creamy head. Aroma is not strong. There is very little floral tones in the aroma or flavor. Mouthfeel is very full and the lacing shows it. There is a hint of cinnamon with the grapefruit flavors. It is much the same as Smuttynose IPA with less floral, citrus and about the same mouthfeel, but it is clear without the floculation that Smutty has. It’s very drinkable - not too complex. I’d defintely do it again.

Apr 17, 2008 Poured copper, i was expecting a bit more of an amber pour... Also expecting a wild west coast IPA... I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of the citrusy hops with the slightly sweet malts... More Two Hearted than Stone IPA...

Apr 16, 2008 12 ounce bottle pour dark amber full head and plentiful lacing.
Aroma is fruity and pleasant.
Slightly sweet with piney bitterness. Nice full flavored, crisp IPA.
Better than average IPA. If I was a regular IPA drinker this would be toward the top of the list. Well recommended to West Coast Hopsters.

Apr 16, 2008 Draft at Max’s, Baltimore. Amber-copper with a two-finger, lasting head. Aroma is orange-pine and creamy honey. Flavor is a short front of molasses-honey that quickly turns to a bitterish citrus-pine resin with some slight cream mixed in. Light-medium body is smooth, tingly, and dry.

great citrusy hop flavor that is super complex and light bodied........and a great background malt flavor...everything a IPA should be.....my base example for a single IPA

Apr 14, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy gold with an inch of frothy off-white head. Delicious honey hop aroma. Leads well into the blast of heavy honey and apricot flavors that come at first. Has a full, creamy body and a sort of tamer hop finish along with some other herbal flavors mixed in with the bitterness. Finish starts with a little alcohol pinch.

App.: Clear amber with a decent off-white head and some lacing.
Aroma: A wallop of oily, resinous, piney hops, if you dig a bit further, there are tropical fruits and apricot; sticky sweet malts cower in the background with some light cotton candy esters.
Palate: Medium body, mild carbonation.
Flav.: More of the fruitiness and esters than on the nose but there is a still a pretty generous helping of pine and resin, there’s an oddly musty earthiness somewhere in the backdrop; big bitter finish with allusions to citrus fruit; long, lingering floral scent and bitterness.
An unapologetic homage to hops that struggles to maintain balance and nearly succeeds.

Apr 12, 2008 Pours amber with a white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Flavor starts with a bit of citrus and honey and finishes with a good bitter hoppiness. Great mouthfeel and a clean finish. Solid IPA.
