fg8080 (37), San Diego, California, USA Apr 11, 2008 Pours a golden amber with an off white creamy head, soft carbonation. Aroma is spicy, piny, citrus. Aroma is sweet citrus hops, pine, and caramel. Medium, sticky body. Flavor is sweet citrus, orange, some pine, and grass. Quite tasty, easy to drink. Has everything I look for in an IPA. stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2008 22 oz bomber, Hazy, golden pour. Strong aroma of cascade hops. The taste is not nearly as strong - hoppy but not over the top. Solid, bitter finish. Standard west coast IPA. pretty good. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 3, 2008 22 0z. bottle, nice head with good lacing, piney, citrus IPA nose and excellent malt and hop play that finishes with a bit of a bite, good west coast IPA BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Apr 2, 2008 First tried on draft at Toronado but review is based on a 22oz bomber. Light amber with thin white head and a grassy/citrus nose. Flavor is prominently hoppy, bitterness is balanced with the malt. The hop flavor lingers too long for my taste and becomes cloying. Body is a bit more than medium and compliments this brew well. grandridge (222), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA Mar 31, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden with aroma of aromatic floral hops. Goes down smooth and I was waiting for that bitter finish but it never came. This beer is a nice balance between hops and malt. Not overly bitter, which is a nice change from some of the massive IPA and x2 IPAs on the market. This is a qulaity IPA, maybe just a little more flavor (non-bitter) in the finish would make this beer a premium IPA. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 30, 2008 Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was strong floral and woody hops. The flavor was sweetish piney and grapefruity with a light woody undertone and a decent malt backbone. The finish was longish, bitter and hoppy. Hoppy but not overwhelming. Nothing really grabbed my attention though. RedSox2004 (353), Pacific Palisades, California, USA Mar 29, 2008 22 oz. bottle, poured dark orange, almost brown, and cloudy, like their was some yeast in the bottle. Generous frothy head with nice lacing. Hops dominated the smell, which also had some lemon and pine. Hops also was very strong in the taste, but it was well balanced by subtle biscuit and bread flavors. Medium bodied moderate carbonation, this felt very clean on the palate and left a very pleasant hoppy aftertaste.
