doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Mar 26, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours dark orange with a crisp and somwhat sticky looking white head. Smells of spicy citrus hops and a bit of alcohol sting. Tastes grassy hoppy but also pretty malty. Well balanced. More hoppy as it warms and malty when cold. Not the most bitter IPA I’ve ever had but definitely solid.Medium body, smooth but crisp carbonation. jzzbassman (838), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Mar 24, 2008 22 oz bomber. Pours a clear bright orange with significant lacing. Very floral hoppy aroma, with some pine hints. Flavor is bracingly bitter grapefruit rind like, with a thick, almost sticky back. posikyle (165), Alabama, USA Mar 24, 2008 Pours out a nice amber color, dense head that leaves a nice lacing. Very floral aroma (more so than most ipas). Sweeter than a lot of ipas also, but it’s balanced out quite well with a clean and bitter finish. Definitely one I would buy again. pik5el (51), Pasadena, Maryland, USA Mar 24, 2008 Draft at Flying Saucer. tiny fizzy head. very hoppy citrus aroma, good color. smooth going down. i could drink a few of this. timfoolery (482), California, USA Mar 24, 2008 Bottle from Nugget in Davis. This brew poured a light-orange color with floral, citrus scents. The flavor was of bitter citrus fruits with an admirable palate. Very nice opening and aftertaste, I would buy this one again. Thanks Wes for the referral. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 22, 2008 Bottled. Beautiful cloudy amber-orange with a sparse and airy head. Candyish malts, lots of piney aromatic hops and a rich bitter finish. Thick body, carbonation is a bit low. Quite tasty and highly drinkable, although a bit cloying. Not best in show but an impressive IPA nonetheless. bennylava (83), California, USA Mar 22, 2008 On draft. Pours an golden orange coler with nice white head. A wonderful flagrant floral aroma. Obviously, abundant hop flavors with citrus and grassy notes. The only issue with this I.P.A is that I found it slightly too sweet for taste. But it still is an excellent beer. I prefer the dogfish head 60 minute i.p.a. though.
highibus (421), Mill Creek, Washington, USA Mar 21, 2008 Intense floral and citrus hop aroma on this bad boy. Beautiful deep straw color gives a nice malty backround for the great hop flavor (spicy). Excellent body, nice finish. Great IPA.
