RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 4, 2008 Pours slightly fogged orange amber with a great crème head and a lot of lacing on the way down. Nose is very piney hops. Flavor is super hops. Stays full and unwavering. Feel is smooth with a thicker liquid body and a good carbonation. It feels just as good as it tastes. This is pretty damn drinkable and pretty damn good.
jj21 (84), Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, USA Feb 4, 2008 Pours a hazy orange with lots of carbonation rising to a great, thick creamy head on top. Exploding aromas of citrus, pine and alcohol on the nose that beg for sniff after sniff. Just enough malt flavor to balance it out but still feature the great hops. I had this six hours ago and I can still smell and taste it. Sit down with a big bowl of chili with this one!!!! Bear Republic continues to impress me.
JAXSON (229), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 2, 2008 On tap. Hazy dark gold/orange with a pretty small head. Subdued, hoppy aroma, nothing mind-blowing. Flavor was hoppy, with some of the typical west-coast offerings, but in a kind of boring overall package. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Based on my brief experience with it, I wasn’t all that impressed. bp (452), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 2, 2008 Bottle: pours a nice clear golden color with a thin white head, hoppy aroma with some citrus, initial taste is very hoppy but then finishes with a buttery smooth balance, this is the kind of IPA that I enjoy. troopie (851), USA Feb 2, 2008 Bottle. Poured hazy gold with foamy lasting white head. Floral aroma, like a tended garden. Very hoppy flavour, high bitterness, and some nice astringency. Middle of the tongue lasting finish. Medium mouth. A fine everyday IPA. Bier brauen (210), Bremerton, Washington, USA Feb 1, 2008 I’d have to say it’s my favorite IPA. Floral hop aroma with just the right amount of bite. On tap at the source. That why the high score. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA Jan 31, 2008 Clear golden orange pour with a quarter inch thick white head. Aroma of floral hops and some citrus too. Nice bitter finish but the flavor does not stand out. Dry finish. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Jan 31, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with a half inch head into the sam adams glass. A small amount of lacing stuck to the sides of the glass. A scent of pineapple, grapefruits and spicey hops. The flavor is very balanced with hints of citrusy hops and a malt backbone that was tremendous. A very drinkable, lively IPA....loved this beer.
