Commercial Description:
This is a hoppy IPA. Did I say hops? Your brewer is a hop head! This is a full bodied beer using American grains. The goal was to create a base for showing off the unique floral qualities of two Pacific Northwest hops, Columbus and Cascade. Columbus is a new hybrid High Alpha Acid hop used mostly for bittering, but used heavily as an aromatic in this strong brew. Cascade is the balance that ties the malt and bittering hops together. It is a true specialty ale and is our brewer’s statement on this style. 2004 L.A. Draft. Pours amber with a little haze and a big off-white head. Aroma of mostly hops and some citrus and floral notes. Hops also dominate the flavor with some citrus and caramel. Great hoppy flavor. Medium body, dry and bitter finish with a bitter aftertaste.

this one was warm and i tried to make it cold as fast as possible to drink this and i dont think it worked very well. it was half warm when i drank this and i feel like that almost killed it. very bubbly with a thick head and super duper hoppy, smell like a giant plate of hops and tastes like that too. good stuff... just dont drink when its warm.

Mmmmm..... hops..... Pours nice copper colour then the citrus, tropical fruits and slightly grassy hop aroma hits you. Well balanced between the malt and the hops, finishes slightly bitter but not too much. A lovely beer, very typical of the real American ale style making full use of the Cascade and Chinook hops. Lovely!

Pours a hazy orange brown color with nice frothy offwhite head. Aroma is nice and citrusy. Flavor is very balanced. Starts with nice medium sweet caramel malt base then big, but not abrassive, citric and resiny hop presence. Overall, definitely a winner.

Bottled 650ml. Ordered from crackedkettle.com. Appearance: It pours a hazy deep copper beer with a small light beige head. Beautiful lacework. Aroma: Fantastic, mindblowingly good, powerful with a wonderful hop profile. Rose, peach, grapefruit, pine needles, mango, huge amounts of hop resin, apricot, basil, Devonshire cream, maple syrup, tea leaves and sweat. Flavor and palate: A huge amount of rose, apricot, peach, grapefruit, mango, clotted cream and orange peel showing up balanced by a flawless malty back. Great hop profile. Medium to full bodied. Sweetish. Good bitterness. Balanced. The finish is dryish, hoppy and reminiscent of tea leaves, licorice and a lot of rose. Overall impression: Rose is a respectable component which shows up in both nose and taste in my opinion. I reveled in every sip. A great IPA.
