growler (74), West Virginia, USA Sep 16, 2005 bomber. Pours a hazy orange with a thick, long, very long, lasting head. Very light aroma for an aggressively hopped IPA or else it is just hard to detect becasue of so dang much foam. Nicely carbonated. Aroma is that of citrus, freshly cut grass and a touch of spruce. Nice hoppy flavor. Bitter at the beginning with a somewhat dry finish. Very nice IPA from the west coast! Certainly worth enjoying again!
caesar (2514), Zeist, Netherlands Sep 6, 2008 Tap @ Taphouse, Seattle. Clear orange color, short head. Huge grapefruit and pine aroma. Quite sharp and very bitter taste. Nice IPA. joekinty (208), rockledge, Florida, USA Sep 5, 2008 piney hop aromas some citrus notes very smooth and clean refreshing.................. logan_townsend (15), bonner springs, Kansas, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a hazy gold. An offwhite head with decent lacing. Smells of hops and mild fruits. Had a very significant pine flavor which resulted in a not so unpleasant bitter after taste. Overall a well crafted beer. SHANER4 (208), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 4, 2008 Poured a nice golden amber color with medium head. Aroma is very nice, fresh hops and citrus. Tasted pine, grapefruit and finished bitter. I think Bear Republic over did it with the hops and did not balance the beer with proper malt. Not a bad brew but too much pine taste. Chipper (56), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2008 Amber with a small off white head. Hops and spice on the nose. Nice hop bite. Good stuff.
