Beer_Hawk (628), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA May 4, 2008 Bottle. Poured orange in color with a tall frothy white head that leaves light lacing. Nice hoppy IPA aroma backed with caramel malts. The flavor finds citrus hops, pine with a balanced caramel malts. Medium body. (Rating from June ’07)
RunDWP (112), San Jose, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 22 oz bottle. Light piney aroma, pours a cloudy orange with a thick, persistant white head. Flavor is really hop dominated, with strong pine and grapefruit flavor and a touch of sweet malt. I can understand why it is popular for some folks, but really isn’t quite my style. Really aggressive flavors, too aggressive in my opinion, and for me there are better IPA’s that go for better balance and complexity. BeerGestapo (263), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2008 (USA) Courtesy of AFI96, Thanks waylo !! Pours a lite amber color with a med white head. The aroma is of citrus, and grapefruit. The taste is not as hoppy as i thought, but it was kind of bitter.. I was not that impressed with it as most people , but it was ok !!! Acknud (556), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Jul 20, 2008 Yellow amber pour with a citrus hoppy nose. Flavors mingle of malt and citrus hops. Needs more hops. lipscomb216 (58), USA Jul 20, 2008 Definitely top 5 for the style, nice, sweet flavor and quality aroma. Definitely can smell the Columbus hops, as well as taste the grapefruit quality of the Cascades. Domestic 2 row provides balanced malt sweetness to match the bittering hops and flavor hops. Overall, I would drink this till my blood turned to it, then drink it again. Arayaga2 (739), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2008 Golden with medium white head. Aroma is floral, hoppy, and sweet. Taste is same with fruity citrusy floral hop presence and nice malty backbone. $5/22oz
