Pours a deep honeyish orange with a fluffy white head that leaves a nice lacing. There’s also some visible floaties. The aroma is beautiful. Thick and chewy in every direction. Huge resins of flowery hops, minty suggestions, candyish malts and rye bread. The flavor is just as amazing as the aroma. Huge hops (I picked up on what I though was Amarillo), minty flavors, tangerine, zesty spicyness, hint of peppery alcohol, blood oranges, piney with a solid chewy rype bread background. The finish is long, grapefruit-like and bitter. This is a top IPA, with great complex qualities. Bear Republic always has an amazing malt depth to their beers.

Oct 6, 2008 Wow! Great IPA! Pours a copper color with a nice head. The nose is in your face, nice citrus, floral, fresh grass. Full flavor of tangerines, grapefruit, navel orange peel with a nice dry finish. Nice carbonation. pair with a spicy dish or a mustard driven sammich!

Oct 5, 2008 Bottle at Volo, Toronto. Pours a hazy golden orange with a sizable head. Aroma is full of grapefruit, peach, apricot and pine. The flavour is undeniably dominated by apricot with some citrus, grapefruit, pine. Nice, medium bodied mouthfeel. Slightly bitter finish.

Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear gold with a two finger white head. Aroma of flowers, citrus and malt. Flavor was oranges with an abrasive bitter finish. Didn’t enjoy the finish at all. Potentially good beer, but a slight oops in the finish. Medium body with good carbonation.

Oct 3, 2008 My first take on this beer was that there was a bit too much vanilla dough in here but now its grown on me along with the ample bitterness and sweet dry citrus finish.
