22415brewery (379) - Washington, USA - MAR 25, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours coppery golden with a touch of haze, some head that releases a strong citrus aroma which includes grapefruit, old oranges, candied dried orange peel, and a certain herbaceousness. Flavor is clean malt, some crystal, medium-light caramel. Bitterness is kept in check, well-balanced with the crystal malt sweetness. It’s funny because with so many extreme ipas out there now it’s really hard to not come back and look at this one with the same eye. Finish is fairly crisp and dry which in a way hides the 7% giving the impression of a sessionable ipa.

Mad_Ferret (922) - SWEDEN - APR 24, 2016
Draught @ Bishops Folkis, 30cl 31/3-16.
App: Clear amber, creamy off white head, nice lacings.
Aroma: Resin, caramel, grapefr, vanilla, papaya.
Taste: Caramel and grapefruit with a resiny/piney bitterness, vanilj and lychee.
Palate: Medium bodied, soft carbonation, slight oily with a bitter dry finish.
Overall: More standard than anticipated. A bit raw bitterness. Maybe a tad old?

Bottle at Örebro Ölcafé. Some faded hops and citrus on the nose. Similar taste with orange peels. Probably too old. Not very fresh.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is tons of hops--citrus, fruit, pine, herbs, floral, with mild bubblegum and a discernible caramel malty backbone. Appearance is cloudy yellowish light brown with greenish tinge, small white head with poor retention, minimal sparkle but nice leggy lacing. Taste is dominant moderately sweet citrus over milder caramel, light bitter at tail end. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with sticky texture, lively carbonation and crisp, dry, citrusy finish. Overall, tons of aroma and flavor, meaty body and yet comes off refreshing and light. A pleasure!

Una IPA de 75 IBUs cargada de lúpulos C. Ambarina y muy aromática. Frutas tropicales, pomelo, melocotón y una suave base maltosa que contrasta con toda la carga que aporta el dry-hopping.
